Establishing Assignments and Voluntary Details. The Employer retains the discretion to establish or eliminate as it deems necessary Non-Bid Assignments and voluntary details (specialty duties in addition to an employee’s regular assignment), except that no more than 5% of the greater of: the total authorized strength of all sworn personnel of the Department; or the actual number of sworn personnel as determined on July 1 of each year; may be assigned to STOP Patrol. Upon establishing a Non-Bid Assignment or a voluntary detail, the Department shall develop an “Assignment Description” which shall include such information as the description of the duties associated with the assignment, the days of the week in a normal work week and the number of hours in the scheduled work day, the minimum qualifications or special skills needed to obtain the assignment, the rank which is necessary to obtain the assignment, the selection process for filling vacancies, the minimum length of service commitment for an employee who volunteers for the assignment and the process by which an employee may request to transfer to another assignment or be relieved from the voluntary detail. The Department retains the managerial right to modify the provisions of the Assignment Description or eliminate the assignment, subject to work-out-of class restrictions and the notice requirements of this Article as to the affected employees. The Department will use its best efforts to notify the Federation of such changes prior to implementing them.

  • Teaching Assignments No employee shall be assigned to teach in a grade level and/or subject area not within the scope of his/her teaching certificate, except where a position within his/her certification is unavailable or when mutually agreed to by the affected employee and principal, or when determined necessary by the principal. Employees assigned to positions outside the scope of their certificates shall be assigned as soon as possible to positions for which they hold certification.

  • Teaching Assignment For teaching faculty, the teaching assignment will be one or a combination of programs, courses, or student originated studies offerings (all of which are collectively referred to as “academic offerings” below). For full-time faculty the normal teaching assignment will be a program. For part-time faculty the normal assignment is either a program and/or course(s), depending on the terms of their contract. In addition, faculty may support individual learning contracts.

  • SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS A. Assignments for the Adult Education, Driver Education and Summer School Program will be made by the Board on the basis of preference to teachers possessing permanent teaching certificates regularly employed in the district during the normal school year.

  • DELEGATION AND/OR ASSIGNMENT The contractor shall not assign the contract in whole or in part or any payment arising there from without the prior written consent of the State Procurement Official. The contractor may delegate facilitation of contract orders to their “Authorized/Certified Dealers” only. This delegation will in no way relieve the contractor of any contractual obligations set forth in this Contract Award.

  • Housing Assignments The University assigns Licensee to a bed space and does not guarantee specific room types, buildings, communities, or roommates. The University shall have the right to reassign the Licensee to a different bed space without the Licensee’s consent prior to or during the term of the Agreement.

  • Training Assignments The Supervisor or designee may establish written training assignments to enable an employee to gain the additional experience and training required for the job for a period of time not to exceed two years. At the completion of the training assignment, the employee’s pay will be set no less than the entry rate of pay for the occupational pay band.

  • Employees on Long Term Supply Assignments Employees completing long term supply assignments may only access sick leave and short term disability leave in the fiscal year in which the allocation was provided. Any remaining allocation may be used in subsequent long term supply assignments, provided these occur within the same fiscal year. Employees employed in a Long Term Supply Assignment which is less than the ordinary period of employment for the position shall have their sick leave and short term disability allocations pro-rated accordingly. Where the length of the long term supply assignment is not known in advance, a projected length must be determined at the start of the assignment in order for the appropriate allocation of sick leave/short term disability leave to occur. If a change is made to the length of the assignment, an adjustment will be made to the allocation and applied retroactively.

  • CESSION, ASSIGNMENT AND TRANSFER 30.1 The Licensee is not entitled to cede, assign or transfer any of its rights, title or interest in the Agreement without XXXXX’s consent, which consent must not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Acting Assignment (a) For the purpose of this Agreement, acting assignment means the assignment of an employee on an acting basis to a Postmaster or Senior Assistant position which is at a higher classification level than the position to which he is appointed. An employee will perform the duties of the higher classification level that may be required during the acting assignment in order to be entitled to receive the acting pay.
