Scheduled Work Day. Shift employees may be regularly scheduled to work on holidays, which fall on their workdays. They shall be compensated at the overtime rate of pay in addition to their holiday pay for the shift or work period involved, but shall not be entitled to travel time in connection therewith:
(a) At the option of the affected employees, they may elect to work the regular scheduled holiday at the overtime rate of pay and, in lieu of receiving the holiday pay; they may bank this time to be used in the following year as scheduled vacation time. This time will be posted at the beginning of each year and be scheduled the same as vacation time.
(b) The number of such employees regularly scheduled to work on a holiday shall be kept to a minimum consistent with operational needs.
(c) If the Agency determines that the services of an employee, who is regularly scheduled to work on a holiday, are not required, such employee, upon being notified prior to quitting time of the workday preceding the holiday, shall take the holiday off with pay.
Scheduled Work Day. An employee cannot be ordered to work a shift prior to or directly after pre-approved leave. This prohibition shall not apply to regular days off as determined by the shift bid or changes authorized pursuant to Article 7.
Scheduled Work Day. Non-Instructional staff are to communicate with immediate supervisor prior to altering their work schedule
Scheduled Work Day. Extra board transit operator runs shall consist of a work day of (10.25) hours or less and may be for consecutive or non-consecutive hours.
Scheduled Work Day. If an individual works on a Statutory Holiday, the individual will receive payment for regularly scheduled hours. When an employee is scheduled to work on a Statutory Holiday, the employee will be paid at one hundred and fifty percent (150%) of the regular straight-time rate for all scheduled hours of work plus an amount equal to the number of hours in their regularly scheduled shift at straight-time rate for the Statutory Holiday. Any overtime on the Statutory Holiday will be paid at one hundred and fifty percent (150%) of the regular straight-time rate.
Scheduled Work Day. An employee who is required to work on a designated holiday shall be compensated at time and one-half and receive an additional day’s pay, pro-rated for part-time employees, but will not have another day off in lieu of the holiday.
Scheduled Work Day. Permanent part-time runs shall consist of a work day of ten (10) hours or less and may be for consecutive or non consecutive hours.
Scheduled Work Day. 1. Employees assigned to a full-time position shall be eligible for all benefits provided by this agreement. Full time employees are those employees assigned to a full time position. A full time position is defined by the number of work hours in a regular school day as follows: Preschool 6.0 hours Elementary 6.0 hours Middle School 6.25 hours High School 6.333 hours Employees assigned to a part time position of 20 hours or more per week shall be eligible for all benefits provided in this agreement on a pro rated basis. Employees who work less than 20 hours per week shall not be entitled to benefits provided by this agreement.
2. The work day shall begin for bargaining unit members 15 minutes before students are scheduled to start school and to end when the school day ends for student to whom they are assigned, or at the discretion of the principal, but no later than the end of the school day for students. The workday will include a one-half (1/2) hour unpaid duty-free lunch period. If the employee supervises a child or children during his/her lunch period, he/she shall be paid at the appropriate pro-rated hourly rate.
Scheduled Work Day. An employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled work day be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the pensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday. The sche- xxxxxx of the lieu day shall be subject to Component Holiday Coinciding With a Day of Vacation Where an employee on vacation leave and a paid holiday falls within that the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation. Christmas or New Day The Employer agrees to make every reasonable effort to ensure that employees required to work shift shall have at least Christmas Day or the following New Year's Day off. Paid Holiday Pay Payment for paid holidays be made at an basic except if an employee has been working in a higher paid position than for a majority of the sixty work days preceding a paid holiday, which case shall receive the higher rate. For employees who work in excess of seven (7) hours per day, they shall receive the higher rate if they have been working a paid position for a majority of the working hours preceding a paid holiday.
Scheduled Work Day. Effective January 6, 2014, the daily full time hours of work for all D.E.C.E.s will be six and one-half (6.5) hours from the time the D.E.C.E. is required to report to school exclusive of lunch and breaks. Effective August 1, 2014, the daily full time hours of work for all D.E.C.E.s will be seven (7) hours from the time the D.E.C.E. is required to report to school exclusive of lunch.
