Common use of Evaluation During the Probationary Period Clause in Contracts

Evaluation During the Probationary Period. (a) During the probationary period the principal or other evaluator shall meet with the probationary employee at least twice monthly to observe and make at least two written summaries each month of the progress, if any, made by the employee. The employee will be given a copy of the written summaries within two (2) days of the observation. The employee shall have the right to attach any comments to the written summaries within five (5) days of receiving a copy of the written summaries. (b) The probationary employee should be removed from probation at any time if he/she has demonstrated consistent improvement to the satisfaction of the principal or other supervisor in those areas specifically detailed in his/her notice of probation. In this event, a statement will be attached indicating the employee has successfully met the conditions of probation. (c) Beginning with the probationary period, an employee may have an Association representative present during conferences held pursuant to C.3(a) herein.
