Executive Officer Xxxxxxx. A lieutenant assigned as the Executive Officer of the Department shall receive an annual stipend of $4,000 effective July 2018, or the equivalent pro rata share in accordance with the amount of time assigned as Executive Officer. Payment will be made in accordance with the regular payroll schedule; provided, however, with the approval of the Chief, a Lieutenant assigned as executive officer may request a payment schedule other than on the regular payroll schedule if not less than a semi-annual basis. The Chief, in his or her sole discretion, shall assign an Executive Officer, including the discretion not to assign an Executive Officer. The Chief’s decisions with respect to the assignment of an Executive Officer are not subject to the grievance process.
