Common use of Extended Family Clause in Contracts

Extended Family. An employee will be allowed a leave of 1 shift for employees assigned to a 53-hour average workweek, or 2 consecutive shifts for employees assigned to a 40-hour average workweek with no loss of regularly scheduled pay. Leave may be used to attend the funeral or memorial service, or used the shift immediately prior to or after the service. Extended family includes: grandchild, grandparent, great-grand parent, uncle, aunt, nephew, xxxxx, spouse’s or partner’s extended family, or any other person living as family under the same roof as the employee.
