Common use of Extended Family Clause in Contracts

Extended Family. When death occurs in the extended family of an employee, the employee will be granted necessary time off for the purpose of bereavement. A regular classified employee shall receive a maximum of three (3) days leave per occurrence with pay when said leave occurs within the regular work schedule of the employee.

Under OFLA, employees are entitled to ten (10) days off per occurrence. However, only the number of days above shall be paid days.
