Common use of Extension of Probation Clause in Contracts

Extension of Probation. The probationary period may be extended by a maximum of two hundred fifty (250) working hours, provided such extension is considered necessary by the Employer. A written notice of the extension and a copy of a written appraisal, with reasons for the extension, shall be given to the Employee prior to the expiry of the initial probationary period.
