Extramural professional activities or “Moonlighting.” Resident understands and acknowledges that Moonlighting is prohibited unless specifically approved in advance in writing by the Hospital and Hospital’s Program Director in accordance with Hospital and Program policy and procedures as defined in the GME Resident Manual. Resident agrees, understands, and acknowledges that Moonlighting activities are not covered by the Hospital’s professional liability insurance program.

  • Outside Professional Activities The President/Superintendent may undertake outside professional activities, including consulting, speaking, and writing provided these activities do not interfere with the President/Superintendent’s duties.

Within budget constraints, such costs of attendance shall be paid by the Board. It is agreed that maintenance of currency of subject knowledge, the improvement of performance of faculty duties, and the maintenance and improvement of professional competence, including instructional skills, are the primary professional development activities of faculty members.

  • Professional Development Reimbursement Management will provide reimbursement for approved professional development expenses for Lieutenants and Sergeants. Funds may be used for the purpose of improving job performance, maintaining and increasing proficiency, preparing Lieutenants and Sergeants for greater responsibility, or increasing promotional opportunities. Management must approve of the specific professional development request in advance. Denial will require written notification to the requesting Lieutenant or Sergeant.
