Family Emergency Illness Leave. 1. A certificated employee shall be granted two (2) days emergency absence per year from service without loss of pay for the following reasons: Sudden or unexpected illness or injury of a member of the immediate family, or necessary surgery on a member of the immediate family. This leave shall not be deducted from sick leave.
