Fencing, watching, lighting. The parts of the fencing shall be of timber, securely fixed in the ground not more than 2.50m apart, they shall not be less than 10cm in dia. or not less than 1.25m above the surface of the ground. There shall be no two rails, one near the top of the posts and the other about 0.50m above the ground and each shall be of 5cm to 10cm in diameter and sufficiently long to run from post to post to which they shall be tied with strong ropes. The method of projecting rails beyond the posts and tying together where they meet will not be allowed on any account. All along the edges of the excavated trenches, a bund of earth about 1m high shall be formed when so required by the Engineer for further protection. Proper provision shall be made for lighting at night and watchmen shall be kept to see that this is properly done and maintained. In addition to the normal lighting arrangements, the Contractor shall provide, whenever such work is in progress, battery operated blinking lights (6 volts) in the beginning and end of a trench with a view to provide suitable indication to the vehicular traffic. The Contractor shall also provide and display special boards printed with fluorescent prints indicating the progress of work along the road. In the event of the Contractor not complying with the provisions of the clause, it may be carried out by the Engineer and the cost recovered from the Contractor besides claiming liquidity damages from the contractor. In all such cases the work may be carried out by Board. The Contractor shall be held responsible for all claims for compensation as a result of accident or injury to persons/non-provision of red flags. The Contractor shall at his own cost provide all notice boards before opening of roads as directed by the Engineer. Arrangements shall be made by the Contractor to obtain permission from traffic authorities for working and to direct traffic when work is in progress. No separate payment shall be paid for this item of work.

  • Fencing The SPD shall Fence the demarcated boundary of the Demised Premises at the SPD’s own expense in every respect.

  • Retaining Walls Prepare preliminary retaining concepts to be shown on schematics, typical sections, and cross sections. • Determine if any additional walls are required and verify the need for and length of the retaining wall as shown on the ultimate schematic. • Compute and tabulate retaining wall quantities for preliminary design milestone plans submittal.

  • Irrigation The City shall provide water to the Premises for the purpose of irrigating the facility. The City specifically reserves the right to restrict water usage under this Agreement if water restrictions are placed on other water users within the City. Prior to the start of the season, City will provide charge up and run through the automatic irrigation systems to check for proper operation. City will provide Lessee with a radio for remote operation of the irrigation system, which Lessee shall use for the day to day maintenance, repair, and monitoring of the irrigation system. If the radio is lost, stolen, broken, or is rendered unusable, Lessee shall pay $1500 for the replacement radio. City is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the following irrigation elements, to the extent applicable: curb stops, backflow prevention devices, backflow enclosures, main line pipings, electric control valves, and controllers. Lessee shall notify Parks Division Water managers by email if any of these irrigation elements are malfunctioning or broken.

  • Outdoor Lighting 3.8.1 Lighting shall be directed to driveways, parking areas, loading area, building entrances and walkways and shall be arranged so as to divert the light away from streets, adjacent lots and buildings.

  • Cutting, Patching, and Fitting The Contractor shall do all cutting, patching, and fitting of the Work that may be required to make its several parts come together properly and fit.

  • Switching System Hierarchy and Trunking Requirements For purposes of routing ECI traffic to Verizon, the subtending arrangements between Verizon Tandem Switches and Verizon End Office Switches shall be the same as the Tandem/End Office subtending arrangements Verizon maintains for the routing of its own or other carriers’ traffic (i.e., traffic will be routed to the appropriate Verizon Tandem subtended by the terminating End Office serving the Verizon Customer). For purposes of routing Verizon traffic to ECI, the subtending arrangements between ECI Tandem Switches and ECI End Office Switches shall be the same as the Tandem/End Office subtending arrangements that ECI maintains for the routing of its own or other carriers’ traffic.

  • Access Toll Connecting Trunk Group Architecture 9.2.1 If CBB chooses to subtend a Verizon access Tandem, CBB’s NPA/NXX must be assigned by CBB to subtend the same Verizon access Tandem that a Verizon NPA/NXX serving the same Rate Center Area subtends as identified in the LERG.

  • Electrical appliance safety The Hirer shall ensure that any electrical appliances brought by them to the premises and used there shall be safe, in good working order, and used in a safe manner in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Where a residual circuit breaker is provided the hirer must make use of it in the interests of public safety.

  • Pavement The combined surface course, base course, and subbase course, if any, considered as a single unit.

  • PAVING Provide a standard bubble map, as part of the plans, showing locations of numbered points, and a table with point number, northing and easting coordinates, description, and BL station for each point, for the following: ▪ all platted control irons (set or not), including plat boundary irons, for the entire sub-division, not just the current phase ▪ benchmarks, including TBM set with preliminary survey In addition to the required coordinate information, the following shall be included in all plans, at a minimum, as needed for construction staking on all City projects. ▪ Include copy of plat(s) on all plans, as relevant and approved by the Design Engineer ▪ Benchmarks – minimum of two City standards, four total desirable; as close to project as possible, even if TBM set with preliminary survey. ▪ Benchmark elevations must be in the same datum as the design (i.e. NAV 88 design needs NAV 88 benchmarks, not NAV 29) ▪ All control irons/identified property irons shall be shown on plans, with BL stationing and offset ▪ Show deflection angles in BL, and/or bearing/azimuth of BL sections ▪ Arterial project side streets – provide BL station at CL of intersection of the two streets, on the BL; BL station and offset to CL of side street at removal limits; include deflection angle from BL to CL of side street ▪ Existing FL/pavement grades shown at all match points ▪ Top of curb grades and stationing at all ends-of-return and horizontal/vertical P.I.’s, not just even stationing ▪ CL top of pavement grades for arterial ▪ CL elevation for streets on mass grading work @ 100’ Sta in tangent sections and 50’ on curves.
