Filling Job Vacancies. A. Vacancies will be filled by candidates in the following categories provided that needs of the business will permit the release of the requesting employees from their present assignments: 1. Mandatory Return from leaves, legal requirements. 2. Transfers at the instance of the Company to correct an imbalance in the workforce. 3. Force Adjustments. 4. Change in place of reporting or work group or in the same title, within a location. In instances where a candidate covered by this category is selected and a replacement is thereby necessary that replacement will be made from candidates from the categories below: a. Retreats as covered by 12.02D1 and 12.02D2. b. Recall from layoff. c. Request from lateral movement. d. Request for downgrade movement. e. Request for promotional movement. f. Non-mandatory return from leaves. Candidates available from other sources will be grouped with internal requesters when the above order has not filled the vacancy or vacancies. B. The Company will ordinarily follow the above order in filling vacancies. The Company, however, may due to a business reason select candidates without following the above order. 1. When an employee is selected to fill a job vacancy, the employee will be released from his/her present assignment as soon as practicable but in any event no later than the sixth Sunday following the date the employee is notified. Filling Job Vacancies. A. Vacancies A) A vacancy occurs when a job cannot be staffed from within the same level and shift. When a vacancy occurs, qualified employees will be filled by candidates considered in successive steps in the following categories provided that order until the vacancy is filled:
(1) Obligatory reinstatements from leaves of absence.
(2) Employees who are surplus in accordance with Paragraph 3(B).
(3) Employees will be considered for return to the same Production Occupation level and shift on which they were surplus due to lack of work and which they performed satisfactorily within two years of the date when the vacancy occurs. Consideration shall be limited to employees in the same or lower level. Employees who are recalled from layoff will forfeit their existing "former" rights under this paragraph.
(4) The COMPANY agrees to establish a Job preference Inventory of employees who wish to move laterally within shift. The COMPANY will interleave the senior, Job preference "bidder" on no more than five placement lists per month.
(5) Experienced production occupational employees in the same level as the vacancy, subject to the needs of the business will permit and at the release discretion of the requesting COMPANY who are necessary to the establishment of a new shift or the mannxxx xx a new job.
(6) Any vacancy not filled in accordance with 1 through 4 above shall be posted on COMPANY bulletin boards for five working days. Each such posting shall include the closing date for receipt of nominations and a confirmation date which immediately follows the closing date. On this date, employees from may contact the personnel organization to confirm that their present assignmentsbid form has been received.
B) Job vacancies in the Production Specialist (Level I) Production Occupation not filled in accordance with Paragraph 2(A) will be posted on COMPANY bulletin boards. The following employees may bid:
(1. Mandatory Return from leaves, legal requirements) Qualified Level I employees on a different shift.
(2) Qualified Level II and Level III employees requesting voluntary downgrades. Transfers at the instance of the Company to correct an imbalance in the workforce.
3. Force Adjustments.
4. Change in place of reporting or work group or in the same title, within a location. In instances where a candidate covered by this category is selected and a replacement is thereby necessary that replacement will be made from candidates from the categories below:
a. Retreats as covered by 12.02D1 and 12.02D2.

Filling Job Vacancies. A. 16.01 The Employer shall post notice of vacancies with duration of one (1) calendar month or more for a period of one (1) week. A job posting shall contain the following information: job position/classification, a summary of the duties, the required qualifications, the hours of work including days off, the wage scale, work area and commencement date.
16.02 Temporary Vacancies will less than 30 Days
(a) Notwithstanding clause 16.01, if the vacancy is a temporary one of less than thirty (30) calendar days, the position shall not be posted and instead shall be filled by candidates in the following categories provided that needs of the business will permit the release of the requesting employees from their present assignmentsas follows:

216.04 The Employer may delay the implementation of an awarded position if the successful applicant cannot leave their current position without adversely affecting the operations of the Company. Nothing In such case the Employer may temporarily fill the vacancy until such time as another employee has been trained to replace the applicant in this Agreement is their current position. The Employer shall make every effort not to be construed as prohibiting exceed thirty (30) days, but reserves the Company from giving consideration in filling job vacancies right to employees who do not have requests on file under the provisions of 12.01extend up to a further thirty (30) days.

Filling Job Vacancies. A. Vacancies A) A vacancy will not be declared when a job is to be filled by candidates a temporary reclassification of an employee to an Occupational Job Classification in the same Tier but different Corridor for reasons such as vacation relief, replacement of absent employee or business emergencies. C) Job vacancies not filled in accordance with Paragraph 2(B) shall be advertised on the categories belowCompany bulletin board(s) for a minimum of five full working days. Each such advertisement shall include the following information:
a. Retreats as covered by 12.02D1 (1) Job vacancy number
(2) Occupational Job Classification, Tier and 12.02D2Corridor
(3) Basic duties and qualifications
(4) Work schedule
(5) Closing date for receipt of nominations
(6) Confirmation date, during which employees may contact the personnel organization to confirm that their bid forms have been received.
b. Recall from layoff(i) Employees of the COMPANY may nominate themselves for advertised job vacancies by submitting the form prescribed by the COMPANY.
c. Request from lateral movement(ii) Job vacancies not filled in accordance with Paragraph 2(B) shall be filled by qualified employees who have nominated themselves for the vacancy as provided in Paragraph 2(C).
d. Request for downgrade movement.
e. Request for promotional movement.
f. Non-mandatory return from leaves. Candidates available from other sources will be grouped D) If none of the employees considered in accordance with internal requesters when Paragraph 2(C) possess the above order has not filled the vacancy or vacancies.
