Fire Academy. Other individuals assisting may be used to maintain a safe instructor to student ratio during hands-on fire training and some lecture topics. NOTE: There must be one (1) MFFTC State Certified Fire Instructor present at all locations during all MFFTC Fire Fighter I and II course lectures and hand-on sessions (see section E below).
Fire Academy. 12.6.1. Holiday hours worked while at the academy will be paid, at the employee’s discretion, as overtime or time and a half compensatory time. HOLIDAYS
Fire Academy. All new employees shall attend and successfully complete the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy Basic Firefighter (Recruit) Training, or equivalent training approved by the Massachusetts Fire Training Council or Director of the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy.
Fire Academy. The Fire Chief further agrees to provide the Union with a copy of all applications of members who apply for these courses.
Fire Academy. The Recruit desires to participate in an upcoming Firefighter Recruit Academy. Such participation is costly as the District devotes tuition, resources, time, and out-of-pocket expenditures to sponsor the Recruit in such an academy.
