Formal Grievance Steps. A. The grievance procedure shall consist of the following steps, each of which must be completed prior to any request for further consideration of the matter unless waived by mutual consent or as otherwise provided herein. 1. All Step 1 and Step 2 grievances must be submitted to the Human Resources Director, the employee’s Battalion Chief, Section Manager, Division Manager, or Division Chief within the time limits outlined in this Article. If the grievance is submitted to the employee’s Battalion Chief, Section Manager, Division Manager, or Division Chief, a copy will be forwarded to the Human Resources Director.
