Common use of Formal Xxxxx Clause in Contracts

Formal Xxxxx. 00 Xxxxx 0 27 Within twenty (20) days the occurrence of the act or omission, or within twenty (20) days 28 after the date upon which the grievant should reasonably have been aware of the act or omission 29 giving rise to the grievance, the grievant must present the grievance in writing to the immediate 30 supervisor or designee. Either the grievant or the immediate supervisor may request a personal 31 conference within the above time limits. This written grievance shall be clear, concise statement 1 of the grievance, the article of the agreement alleged to have been violated, the circumstance 2 involved, the decision rendered at the informal level, and the specific remedy sought. The 3 immediate supervisor shall communicate a decision to the grievant in writing within ten (10) 4 working days after receiving the grievance.
