Freedom from Censorship. 6.2.1. When an employee speaks or writes as a citizen outside of normal duty hours, he/she shall be free from institutional censorship and discipline. It shall be the responsibility of the employee, in exercising this right, to make it clear that he/she speaks or writes as an individual and not on behalf of the district.

Freedom from Censorship. The parties seek to educate young people in the democratic tradition, to xxxxxx recognition of individual freedom and social responsibility, to inspire meaningful awareness of and respect for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and to inculcate an appreciation of the values of individual personality. It is recognized that these objectives can best be attained in an atmosphere free from censorship and artificial restraints upon free inquiry and learning, and in which the academic freedom of the teacher and student is encouraged.
