From Within Bargaining Unit Clause Samples
The "From Within Bargaining Unit" clause establishes that certain positions or opportunities must be filled by individuals who are already members of the bargaining unit. In practice, this means that when a vacancy arises, the employer is required to consider or select current employees represented by the union before looking outside the unit for candidates. This clause ensures that existing union members have priority access to advancement or new roles, thereby protecting their job security and promoting internal career development.
