Full-time Education Service Experience. For step placement, year-for-year credit will be allowed on the basis of one (1) increment for each year of verified experience as teacher, counselor, librarian, nurse or other faculty position experience not to exceed the equivalent of Step 4. A year experience is obtained by paid full- time educational service in an accredited secondary school, college or university. One (1) year of full-time educational experience shall be defined as service rendered of no less than 75% of time and load during each semester of a previous qualifying school year. Employment as a teaching assistant or laboratory assistant will not be accepted as qualifying experience. Teaching experience must be as “the teacher of record”.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Special Education Services 1. The parties agree to uphold the tenets contained within the "Special Education Services: A Manual of Policies, Procedures and Guidelines” document (February 2011) published by the BC Ministry of Education.

  • Using Student feedback in Educator Evaluation ESE will provide model contract language, direction and guidance on using student feedback in Educator Evaluation by June 30, 2013. Upon receiving this model contract language, direction and guidance, the parties agree to bargain with respect to this matter.

  • Education - Asthma This plan covers asthma education services when the services are prescribed by a physician and performed by a certified asthma educator.

  • Distance Education Distance education means instruction in which the instructor and student are separated by distance and interact through the assistance of communication technologies. All distance education courses and sections will be designated as such in the District schedule of classes. Distance education courses include hybrid (see glossary) instruction and fully online instruction.

  • Adult Education Teachers of Adult Education shall be paid at the rate of thirty-five ($35.00) an hour. Break time will not be deducted from teachers’ pay.
