Common use of General Overtime Clause in Contracts

General Overtime. When there are special reasons, general overtime may be taken out by not more than 150 hours per calendar year. In the calculation of overtime, leave scheduled for the employee’s regular working hours or on-call time shall be equated to performed working hours. General overtime may be taken out by not more than 48 hours during a period of four weeks or 50 hours during a calendar month. These hour numbers may be exceeded only if there are exceptional reasons, e.g., when it is necessary in order to complete work that cannot be interrupted without significant detriment to the business.
