Certificate of employment. When the employer or a salaried employee has terminated the employment, the salaried employee has the right to receive a certificate of employment, showing - the time that the salaried employee has been employed, - the work assignments performed by the salaried employee, and - if the salaried employee so requests, an evaluation of the manner in which the work has been carried out. The employer shall give the certificate of employment to the salaried employee not later than three weeks after the salaried employee’s request.

Certificate of employment. The employer shall, no later than at the beginning of the employment, provide the employee with a certificate of employment pursuant to § 6 c LAS and a copy shall be sent to the closest branch of the union concerned.

If the salaried employee so requests, the employer shall also provide an opinion of how well the salaried employee has carried out his or her work (testimonial). The certificate or testimonial shall be provided one week after it has been requested.
