GENERAL RECOGNITION OF RIGHTS OF THE BOARD. ‌ Subject to the provisions of this Contractual Agreement and except as expressly provided otherwise by the terms of this Contractual Agreement, the Board of Trustees reserves and retains full rights, authority, and discretion in the proper discharge of its duties and responsibilities to control, supervise, and manage the College and its professional staff; to determine and administer educational policy; to operate the College and direct the professional staff; and otherwise retain all rights, authority, and discretion which are exclusively invested in the Board of Trustees or the College President under governing law, ordinances, rules and regulations as set forth in the Constitutions and laws of the State of Illinois and of the United States. It is normally recognized that the Board exercises most of its powers, rights, authorities, duties and responsibilities through the College President and members of the administrative staff.

  • Rights of Stewards When it is necessary for a xxxxxxx to leave his/her work area to investigate and adjust grievances or to investigate a specific problem to determine whether to file a grievance, the xxxxxxx shall request permission from the immediate supervisor and such request shall not be unreasonably denied.
