Government Leave. A unit member who is elected to a government office shall be entitled to an unpaid leave of absence for the length of his/her term or terms in office. The unit member on leave shall notify the Superintendent of his/her return no later than March 1 of the school year preceding such return.
Government Leave. The City will provide leaves for Military, Peace Corps, United States Public Health Service and other public service areas as required by state and federal law. Grievance action taken under this section will not include binding arbitration unless mutually agreed to by the parties.
