Common use of Grid Progression Clause in Contracts

Grid Progression. (a) Each full-time Employee automatically progresses on the grid on her/his anniversary date. With the exception of Pregnancy and Parental Leave under the Employment Standards Act, the anniversary date shall be adjusted in the event the Employee is absent from work in excess of one (1) month. (b) Part-time and casual Employees shall advance on the salary grid in Schedule “A” on the basis of one (1) year is equivalent to fifteen hundred (1500) paid hours. (c) A full time Employee who transfers to part time or casual or vice versa within the same classification will assume her same level on the salary grid as at the time of transfer.
