Grievance Procedure – Timing. Both the Company and the Union acknowledge that the purpose and intent of the grievance procedure is to assure the prompt, fair and orderly resolution of grievances. In the negotiations leading to the current Agreement, we assured the Union of our desire that each grievance receive prompt, fair and objective consideration. Similarly, the Union assured the Company that it will make a sincere effort to see that grievances are processed without undue delay.
