Health/Medical Cover/Insurance. It is the responsibility of the Student to ensure that he/she possesses adequate and valid medical insurance. All Laurea students are covered only by a statutory accident insurance policy. The Group Insurance Policy covers any student accidents during theory lectures, gym class and during school trips. It also covers accidents that happen when a student takes part in common events under the curriculum and the directly related to-and-from school trips. The insurance policies do not cover just material damage. The university is not liable for missing items. It is worth considering a household insurance policy. In cases that fall under the group insurance policy, the student must first pay all treatment and other costs themselves and apply for compensation from the insurance company after the fact by issuing a claim. Free-time accidents or illnesses are not covered under this insurance policy.

From 1 January 2021 onwards, all degree students in higher education will be entitled to use Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS), as long as they have registered as an attending (present) student for a particular term and paid the healthcare fee to KELA, the Social Insurance Institution of Finland. Students who have registered as attending and who are completing a bachelor's or master's level degree earned in a university of applied sciences are liable to pay the fee. Students pay the health care fee to Kela regardless to whether they use the services or not. The healthcare fee must be paid to KELA every term, i.e. twice a year. Please note that KELA will not send you an invoice, so you must pay the fee on your own initiative. The due dates will depend on the date of your registration as an attending student.   • Medical Coverage The Executive shall be entitled to such continuation of health care coverage as is required under, and in accordance with, applicable law or otherwise provided in accordance with the Company’s policies. The Executive shall be notified in writing of the Executive’s rights to continue such coverage after the termination of the Executive’s employment pursuant to this Section 3(d)(iv), provided that the Executive timely complies with the conditions to continue such coverage. The Executive understands and acknowledges that the Executive is responsible to make all payments required for any such continued health care coverage that the Executive may choose to receive.

  • Retiree Medical Coverage ‌ An eligible retiree and eligible dependent(s) (as defined below), may be enrolled in a County offered medical plan as described in section 10.2 but is allowed only to enroll either as a subscriber in a County offered medical plan or, as the dependent spouse/domestic partner of another eligible County employee/retiree, but not both. If an employee/retiree is also eligible to cover their dependent child/children, each child will be allowed to enroll as a dependent on only one employee or retirees’ plan (i.e., a retiree and his or her dependents cannot be covered by more than one County offered plan). An eligible dependent is (as defined in each plan document/summary plan description):  Xxxxxx the retiree’s spouse or domestic partner; or  A child, based on your plan’s age limits, or a disabled dependent child regardless of age.

  • Waiver of Medical Coverage a. Regular, full-time employees who provide proof of alternate medical coverage may waive coverage through Kitsap County’s sponsored medical plans and for that waiver receive a one hundred dollar ($100.00) per month waiver-incentive payment; however, such payment is subject to employment taxes. Regular, full-time employees may not waive their individual medical coverage in lieu of coverage as a spouse/domestic partner on a County-sponsored medical plan.

  • Health and Accident Insurance Unit members shall continue to be covered under the State's Group Health and Accident Insurance plan currently in effect pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 32A of the General Laws as amended or as such plan may be made available under applicable law of the Commonwealth. Pre-tax treatment of group health insurance contributions shall be implemented as soon as is administratively feasible. Benefits shall not be provided to part-time employees except as required by law; provided that Colleges that decide to provide benefits to part-time employees will discuss that issue with the MCCC prior to implementation; provided further that any part-time employee currently receiving benefits shall not lose those benefits.

  • Cyber Insurance The Contractor shall maintain network risk and cyber liability coverage (including coverage for unauthorized access, failure of security, breach of privacy perils, as well at notification costs and regulatory defense) in an amount of not less than $1,000,000. Such insurance shall be maintained in force at all times during the term of the Contract and for a period of two years thereafter for services completed during the term of the Contract.

  • Travel Accident Insurance We agree to provide you with Travel Accident Insurance at no direct cost to you. You, your spouse and unmarried dependent children will be automatically insured against accidental bodily injuries or death while riding in any aircraft or land or water conveyance operated by a common carrier licensed to carry passengers for hire provided the full travel fare(s) has been charged to your Account. Death benefits will be paid to the estate of the insured; all other benefits will be paid to the insured. This insurance is subject to cancellation without prior notice. You understand and agree that the Certificate of Insurance controls all insurance terms and conditions to the exclusion of any statements made in this Agreement regarding limitations, exclusions, and claims procedures.

  • Health and Dental Coverage A dependent child is an eligible employee’s child to age twenty-six (26).

  • DISABILITY INSURANCE PLAN Management shall expend for active employees of this unit who are members of LACERS the sum necessary to cover the cost of a basic disability insurance plan. Management shall also maintain a Supplemental Disability Insurance Plan, enrollment in which is at the discretion of each employee. The full cost of the Supplemental Disability Insurance Plan premiums shall be paid by the individual employees who enroll in the plan.
