Highly Accomplished. (A) A Teacher who is accredited at Highly Accomplished Teacher, and maintains that accreditation, will be classified as Highly Accomplished. Accreditation as a Highly Accomplished Teacher is voluntary.
(B) A Teacher is not entitled to receive a Promotion Position allowance in addition to the Highly Accomplished salary. A Teacher in a Promotion Position who is also accredited as a Highly Accomplished Teacher is entitled to the higher of either the Highly Accomplished salary or their Proficient salary and Promotion Position allowance.

7.20.1 Definition Highly Accomplished Teacher is a Teacher who holds certification as a Highly Accomplished Teacher (HAT).
Highly Accomplished. (i) A Teacher who is accredited as a Highly Accomplished Teacher, and maintains that accreditation, will be classified as Highly Accomplished. Accreditation as a Highly Accomplished Teacher is voluntary.
(ii) The Employers recognise that Highly Accomplished Teachers make an important contribution to their schools and communities by modelling high quality teaching for their colleagues and leading other Teachers in the development and refinement of their teaching practice to improve student learning outcomes. Following consultation with the Teacher, and where the Teacher consents, the Employer may allocate a Highly Accomplished Teacher to provide mentoring, coaching or training to Teachers.
(iii) A Teacher is not entitled to receive a Promotion Position allowance in addition to the Highly Accomplished salary. A Teacher in a Promotion Position who is also accredited as a Highly Accomplished Teacher is entitled to the higher of either the Highly Accomplished salary or their Proficient salary and Promotion Position allowance.

Highly Accomplished. Teacher’ means a Teacher who has been accredited by or certified as a Highly Accomplished Teacher by the relevant teacher accreditation authority and is maintaining that accreditation or certification. ‘Conditionally Accredited Teacher - Level 1’ means a Teacher who has commenced but not yet completed all the course requirements of an approved initial teacher education program, but not including a Teacher classified as a Conditionally Accredited Teacher – Level 2.

4.1 Teachers will be certified against the professional standards in which they operate.
Highly Accomplished. (a) Progression to Highly Accomplished will be effective from the first full pay period on or after the date the Teacher receives certification as a Highly Accomplished Teacher or Lead Teacher, provided the Teacher provides satisfactory evidence of their certification to the College.

Highly Accomplished. Teacher (HAT) means a Teacher who has been granted certification by the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory as a Highly Accomplished Teacher and has been accredited as a Teacher in a Lutheran School.
