Holiday Occurs on Days Off. In the event a designated holiday occurs on a day for which a regular full-time employee was not scheduled to work, the holiday for such employee will be observed either on the preceding scheduled day of work or on the succeeding scheduled day of work, as determined by the Superintendent of Public Works. For example, if the holiday occurs on a Saturday and that day is the employee’s regularly scheduled day off, the employee would observe the holiday on the preceding Friday or following Monday, as determined by the Superintendent of Public Works.
