HOLIDAYS WITH PAY. 7.01 Employees who qualify under Section 12.02 shall be paid without the performance of work for the following holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. When any of the above holidays fall on Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding Friday, and if the holiday falls on Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. (a) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready for work on the morning of the second day after the holiday, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. An employee, who desires to leave prior to the holiday and is ready for work for the second (2nd) day following the holiday, shall make reasonable arrangements with the Company prior to leaving, unless other arrangements have been agreed to between the Company and Union either at Camp level or at Management level. (b) If an employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02 and who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) days immediately prior to the holiday, is on authorized leave of absence other than as provided in 7.03 when the holiday occurs, he shall receive holiday pay for the first holiday that occurs during his absence, provided he returns to work on time, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control. (c) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is obliged to cease work due to a lay-off during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday, shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such thirty (30) day period. (d) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is obliged to cease work due to sickness or accident certified by a licensed practitioner during the twenty-one (21) day period immediately prior to the holiday shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such twenty-one (21) day period. (e) If an employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 is recalled and works any time during the fourteen (14) calendar day period immediately following the holiday, he shall receive holiday pay for the preceding holiday. (f) An employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 and is on vacation shall be entitled to holiday pay and additional time off for any holidays occurring within such vacation period. 7.03 A special leave of absence shall be granted to a qualified employee who must travel a long distance to be home for Christmas, in which event such an employee will receive pay for the holidays provided he returns on time. Any request for such leave of absence must be made to the Camp Xxxxxxx no later than December 1st. Where an employee is prevented by circumstances beyond his control from returning to work on time, he shall be paid for the holidays. (a) If qualified, a pieceworker will be paid at the rate of Xxxxxx (Tree Length Skidding) for the holiday, and a day worker shall be paid a day's pay at his or her regular rate for the holiday. (b) A day worker who is requested to work on any holiday shall be paid for all time worked at the rate of time and one-half (1/2) his regular rate for the first eight (8) hours of work and at the rate of double time after eight (8) hours of work, and, if qualified, in addition, shall receive one (1) day's pay at such regular rate in lieu of the holiday.

If an employee has any floating holidays remaining on December he may elect to take pay in lieu of time off. An employee, who qualifies under Article XII, Section 12.02, who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday holiday, and is ready for work on the morning of the second day after the holiday, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. (a) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready for work on the morning of the second (2nd) day after the holiday, unless his his/her return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his his/her control, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he he/she quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. HOLIDAYS WITH PAY. 7.01 Employees who qualify under Section 12.02 have established seniority shall be paid without the performance of work for the following holidaysholiday: New Year's Day, Years Day Good Friday, Friday Victoria Day, Day Canada Day, Day Civic Holiday, Holiday Labour Day, Day Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Day Christmas Day and Boxing DayDay The Company agrees to give an additional floater in lieu of family day however the parties agree that should Bowater not run on family day the employee shall have the option of taking family day off without pay or utilizing one of their floaters. Probationary employees shall be paid for the above holidays according to the Employment Standards Act, 2000. When any of the above holidays fall on a Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding Friday, Friday and if the holiday falls on Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. . At the beginning of each calendar year the dates on which these holidays will be observed shall be agreed upon with the Union. Employees who have established seniority shall be granted one (a1) An employeefloating holiday with pay per year, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to be taken at a time satisfactory to the employee and supervisor. Effective February 1, 2006, change one (1) floating holiday and does not leave work sooner than to two (2), Effective February 12, 2008 change two (2) days to three (3) floating holidays. The Company agrees to give an additional floater in lieu of the statutory holiday however the parties agree that should Bowater not run on the Statutory holiday the employee shall have the option of taking this day off without pay or utilizing one of their floaters. (b) If an employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02 and who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) days immediately prior to the holiday, is on authorized leave of absence other than as provided in 7.03 when the holiday occurs, he shall receive holiday pay for the first holiday that occurs during his absence, provided he returns to work on time, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control. HOLIDAYS WITH PAY. 7.01 7:01 Employees who qualify under Section 12.02 have acquired seniority status by having completed their probationary period shall be qualified to be paid without the performance of work for the following holidays: New Year's Day, Years Day Labour Day Good Friday, Friday Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day, Day Remembrance Day Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Day Christmas Day and Civic Holiday Boxing Day. Day When any of the above holidays fall on Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding Friday, and if the holiday falls on Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. Canada Day and Remembrance Day may be observed on Friday or Monday with mutual agreement between parties. Remembrance Day (November 11th) holiday will be observed during Christmas and New Year's period. The shutdown day will be mutually agreed no later than September 1st each year. If agreement of the date is not reached by September 1st, the holiday will be observed on November 11th. In addition, employees who have accumulated three (3) months seniority will be granted two (2) floating holidays per contract year (September 1st to August 31st) to be taken at a time satisfactory to the employee and his supervisor. Floating holidays not taken prior to July 1st in each year will be scheduled. An employee who, by reason of layoff, is prevented from taking his floating holiday(s) shall receive pay in lieu of such holiday(s). (a) An employeeemployee who has established seniority in accordance with Article XII, who qualifies under Section 12.02is eligible for holiday pay provided: (i) He works his last scheduled shift prior to the holiday and first scheduled shift following the holiday, who works unless prevented by circumstances beyond his control, or (ii) If an employee has worked any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready for work on the morning of the second day after the holiday, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. Request for floaters are to be submitted in writing on forms supplied by the Company, three (3) days in advance of the available work days floater with the exception of emergency situations. Management will respond within twenty-four (24) hours of receiving the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready for work on the morning request. Double time will be paid after eight (8) hours of work on a Holiday. 7.04 A special leave of absence shall be granted to a qualified employee who must travel a long distance to be home for Christmas, in which event such an employee will receive pay for the holidays Holidays provided he returns on time. Where an employee is prevented by circumstances beyond his control control, from returning to work on time, he shall be paid for the holidaysHolidays. (a) If qualified, a pieceworker 7.05 An employee who has accumulated 120 days seniority will be paid granted three floating holidays per year to be taken at a time satisfactory to the rate of Xxxxxx (Tree Length Skidding) for the holiday, employee and a day worker shall be paid a day's pay at his or her regular rate for the holidaysupervisor. (b) A day worker who is requested to work on any holiday shall be paid for all time worked at the rate of time and one-half (1/2) his regular rate for the first eight (8) hours of work and at the rate of double time after eight (8) hours of work, and, if qualified, in addition, shall receive one (1) day's pay at such regular rate in lieu of the holiday.

HOLIDAYS WITH PAY. 7.01 Employees who qualify under Section 12.02 Qualified employees covered by this Agreement shall be paid for the following holidays without the performance of work for work, providing the following holidays: New Year's Dayqualifying time is worked on the Fibre Resources operations of the Company. Good Friday Victoria Day Canada Day Labour Day The holidays as shall be observed on official date as declared by Provincial Legislation, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Dayunless otherwise mutually agreed. A special leave of absence for any of the available work above holidays may be granted to employees who have to travel long distances to be home for the holiday, provided that a request for such leave is made five days within before the thirty (30) day period holiday. Employees who otherwise qualify but are laid off on any of the twenty-five calendar days immediately preceding the holiday will be paid for the holiday. Employees who otherwise qualify but who are laid off prior to the pay period in which the holiday occurs, will not be paid at the time the holiday is due. Such holiday or holidays pay will be added to the first payroll period after recall . (b) If an employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02 and who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) days immediately prior to the holiday, is on authorized leave of absence other than as provided in 7.03 when the holiday occurs, he shall receive holiday pay for the first holiday that occurs during his absence, provided he returns to work on time, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control. (c) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is obliged to cease work due to a lay-off during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday, shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such thirty (30) day period. (d) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is obliged to cease work due to sickness or accident certified by a licensed practitioner during the twenty-one (21) day period immediately prior to the holiday shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such twenty-one (21) day period. (e) If an employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 is recalled and works any time during the fourteen (14) calendar day period immediately following the holiday, he shall receive holiday pay for the preceding holiday. (f) An employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 and is on vacation shall be entitled to holiday pay and additional time off for any holidays occurring within such vacation period. 7.03 A special leave of absence shall be granted to a qualified employee who must travel a long distance to be home for Christmas, in which event such an employee will receive pay for the holidays provided he returns on time. Any request for such leave of absence must be made to the Camp Xxxxxxx no later than December 1st. Where an employee is prevented by circumstances beyond his control from returning to work on time, he shall be paid for the holidays. (a) If qualified, a pieceworker will be paid at the rate of Xxxxxx (Tree Length Skidding) for the holiday, and a day worker shall be paid a day's pay at his or her regular rate for the holiday. HOLIDAYS WITH PAY. 7.01 (a) Employees who qualify under Section 12.02 have acquired seniority status by having completed their probationary period shall be qualified to be paid without the performance of work for the following holidays: New Year's Day, Years Day Labour Day Good Friday, Friday Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day, Day Remembrance Day Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Day Christmas Day and Civic Holiday Boxing Day. (b) When any of the above holidays fall on Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding Friday, and if the holiday falls on Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. (c) Canada Day and Remembrance Day may be observed on Friday or Monday with mutual agreement between parties. (d) In addition, employees who have accumulated three (3) months seniority will be granted two (2) floating holidays per calendar year (January 1st to December 31st) to be taken at a time satisfactory to the employee and his supervisor. Floating holidays not booked prior to October 1st in each year will be scheduled. (e) An employee who, by reason of layoff, is prevented from taking his floating holiday(s) shall receive pay in lieu of such holiday(s). (a) An employeeemployee who has established seniority in accordance with Article XII, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is eligible for holiday pay provided: (i) He works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately his last scheduled shift prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready for work on the morning of the second day after first scheduled shift following the holiday, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. An employee, who desires to leave prior to the holiday and is ready for work for the second (2nd) day following the holiday, shall make reasonable arrangements with the Company prior to leaving, unless other arrangements have been agreed to between the Company and Union either at Camp level or at Management level.or (bii) If an employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02 and who works employee has worked any of the available work days within the thirty (30) days immediately prior to the holiday, is on authorized leave of absence other than as provided in 7.03 when the holiday occurs, he shall receive holiday pay for the first holiday that occurs during his absence, provided he returns to work on time, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control.or (ciii) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, employee who is obliged to cease work due to a lay-off layoff during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday, shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such thirty (30) day period., or (div) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, employee who is obliged to cease work due to sickness or accident certified by a licensed practitioner during the twenty-one thirty (2130) day period immediately prior to the holiday shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such twenty-one thirty (2130) day period. (e) If an employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 is recalled and works any time during the fourteen (14) calendar day period immediately following the holiday, he shall receive holiday pay for the preceding holiday. (f) An employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 and is on vacation shall be entitled to holiday pay and additional time off for any holidays occurring within such vacation period. 7.03 A special leave of absence shall be granted to a qualified employee who must travel a long distance to be home for Christmas, in which event such an employee will receive pay for the holidays provided he returns on time. (a) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready for work on the morning of the second day after the holiday, unless his return in lieu. Provided further that a shift worker required to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control, ‘Anzac Day’ when it falls on a Saturday or Sunday shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. An employee, who desires to leave prior to the holiday and is ready for work for the second (2nd) day following the holiday, shall make reasonable arrangements with the Company prior to leaving, unless other arrangements have been agreed to between the Company and Union either at Camp level or at Management level. (b) If an employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02 and who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) days immediately prior to the holiday, is on authorized leave of absence other than as provided in 7.03 when the holiday occurs, he shall receive holiday pay for the first holiday that occurs during his absence, provided he returns to work on time, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control. (a) If qualified, a pieceworker will be paid at the rate of Xxxxxx (Tree Length Skidding) double time and one half for the time so worked. b) ‘Show Day’ means not more than one local show day observed on an employee’s ordinary working day, other than a Saturday or a Sunday, in the city town or district in which the employee is employed. c) Payment for the holidays mentioned in Sub-clause (a) which are taken and not worked, shall be at the normal rate of pay which would have applied to the employee concerned when, if it were not for such holiday, and a day worker the employee had been at work. d) Payment to an employee for work performed on holidays mentioned in Sub-clause (a) shall be paid a day's pay at his or her regular rate for the holidayrates prescribed in Part V 5 in this agreement. (be) A day worker who is requested to The employer may request that an employee work on any holiday of the days prescribed in sub-clause (a). In this case payment shall be paid for all time worked at the rate of time and one-one half (1 1/2) his regular with an agreed substitute day off provided at ordinary rates or payment of the rate for of double time and one half. f) Where the first eight employer requests that an employee work on a holiday in accordance with sub-clause (8) hours e) a minimum of work and 14 days notice shall be given to the employee. This notice period may be reduced by mutual agreement. g) Shift Workers (i) If rostered on a public holiday, payment shall be at the rate of double time after eight and a half. (8) hours ii) If a public holiday falls on a rostered day off other than a Saturday or Sunday, an additional payment shall be made at the rate of work, and, if qualified, single time for a normal days pay exclusive of penalty rates. Provided that the above rates shall be in addition, shall receive one (1) day's pay at such regular rate in lieu of the holidaysubstitution for and not cumulative upon any other penalty rates.

HOLIDAYS WITH PAY. 7.01 Employees who qualify under Section 12.02 (a) All employees, other than shift workers, casual employees and part-time employees engaged to work less than 20 hours per week shall be paid without the performance of work for entitled to the following holidaysholidays without deduction from their weekly wages: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Australia Day, Cup Day (half day), Hobart Regatta Day (south of Oatlands), Eight Hours Day, Good Friday, Victoria Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Canada DayQueen's Birthday, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Show Day and Boxing Day. When Recreation Day in those districts where Hobart Regatta Day is not observed, or such other day as may be observed in the locality in lieu of any of the above holidays fall aforementioned holidays. PROVIDED that the half-day Cup Day shall mean one half of any ordinary rostered shift on Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding Friday, and if the holiday falls on Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. (a) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready for work on the morning of the second day after the holiday, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. An employee, who desires to leave prior to the holiday and is ready for work for the second (2nd) day following the holiday, shall make reasonable arrangements with the Company prior to leaving, unless other arrangements have been agreed to between the Company and Union either at Camp level or at Management levelthat day. (b) If an employeePayment for the holidays mentioned in subclause (a) which are taken and not worked, who qualifies under Section 12.02 and who works any shall be at the normal rate of the available work days within the thirty (30) days immediately prior pay which would have applied to the employee concerned, when if it were not for such holiday, is on authorized leave of absence other than as provided in 7.03 when the holiday occurs, he shall receive holiday pay for the first holiday that occurs during his absence, provided he returns to work on time, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his controlhe/she had been at work. (c) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, Where an employee who is obliged entitled to cease holidays in accordance with subclause (a) is required to work due to on any of the holidays mentioned in that subclause, either for part or the whole of such day he/she shall in the case of a lay-off during shift worker be paid at the thirty (30) rate prescribed the Shift Work Clause in this Agreement, and in the case of a day period immediately prior to worker be paid at the holiday, shall receive holiday pay for overtime rate prescribed in the holiday(s) within such thirty (30) day periodOvertime - Day Workers Clause in this Agreement. (d) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is obliged to cease work due to sickness or accident certified by a licensed practitioner during the twenty-one (21) day period immediately prior to the holiday shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such twenty-one (21) day period. (e) If an employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 is recalled and works any time during the fourteen (14) calendar day period immediately following the holiday, he shall receive holiday pay for the preceding holiday. (f) An employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 and is on vacation shall be entitled to holiday pay and additional time off for any holidays occurring within such vacation period. 7.03 A special leave of absence shall be granted to a qualified employee who must travel a long distance to be home for Christmas, in which event such an employee will receive pay for the holidays provided he returns on time. (b) A day worker who is requested required to work on any of the holidays mentioned in subclause (a), where such holiday shall be paid for all time worked applies at the rate of time and one-half (1/2) his regular rate for the first eight (8) hours his/her normal place of work and but because his/her duties require the employee to work at a place where the rate of double time after eight (8) hours of work, and, if qualified, in additionholiday does not apply, shall receive one (1) day's pay at such regular rate have the time in lieu of the holidaysuch holiday added to his/her annual leave entitlement.

An employee who by reason of layoff is prevented from taking his floating holidays shall receive pay in lieu of such holidays. (a) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready for work on the morning of the second (2nd) day after the holiday, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day 30)day period immediately prior to the holiday. An employee, who desires to leave prior to the holiday and is Is ready for work for the second (2nd) day following the holiday, shall make reasonable arrangements with the Company prior to leaving, unless other arrangements have been agreed to between the Company and Union either at Camp camp level or at Management management level. (b) . If an employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02 and who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) days immediately prior to the holiday, is on authorized leave of absence other than as provided in 7.03 when the holiday occurs, he shall receive holiday pay for the first holiday that occurs during his absence, provided he returns to work on time, unless his return to work on OR time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control. (c) . An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is obliged to cease work due to a lay-off layoff during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday, shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such thirty (30) day period. (d) . An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is obliged to cease work due to sickness or accident certified by a licensed practitioner during the twenty-one (21) day period immediately prior to the holiday shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such twenty-one (21) day period. (e) If an employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 is recalled and works any time during the fourteen (14) calendar day period immediately following the holiday, he shall receive holiday pay for the preceding holiday. HOLIDAYS WITH PAY. 7.01 A. All full-time employees who have been on the County payroll for the previous thirty (30) consecutive days, who work the last scheduled working day prior to and the first scheduled working day after any of the following eleven (11) holidays shall receive their regular pay for those eleven (11) days, subject to the following conditions as outlined in numbers " d", "e", "f", "g", "h", "I", "j", and "k". B. The eleven (11) holidays referred to above are as follows: 1) New Year' s Day Washington' s Birthday Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Columbus Day Veteran' s Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Two (2) Floating Holidays 2) Two Floating Holidays to be taken on dates selected by the employee subject to the approval of the appropriate department head. 3) Where employees’ work week is Tuesday through Saturday, and when holidays fall on a Monday, the County will provide those employees with the option of a “floating holiday” instead of holiday pay. These “floating holidays” are to be taken on a date selected by the employee subject to the approval of the appropriate department head and may not be used prior to being earned, i.e. they can only be used following the Monday on which the holiday is normally observed. C. Permanent part-time employees shall receive the following six (6) paid holidays a year: 1) New Year' s Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day D. In those departments where it is necessary to maintain operations, such as the Countryside Care Center, Highway Department, etc., a compensatory day will be granted at a time agreeable to both the employee and the department head for those employees required to work on the holiday. E. Absences on the last scheduled working day prior to and the first scheduled working day after the holiday will be excused provided the employee presents a reason satisfactory to the department head. F. Employees who qualify under Section 12.02 have been requested to report for essential work on a holiday and who have accepted the assignment and who then fails to report without satisfactory reason to perform such work, shall be paid without the performance of work for the following holidays: New Year's Daynot receive holiday pay. G. In applying this procedure, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. When when any of the above enumerated holidays fall on SaturdaySaturday or Sunday and the State or Federal Government observes another day, it shall be observed the policy of Delaware County to do likewise, except as otherwise stated in this Agreement. H. Further in applying this policy, it shall be the prerogative of Delaware County to pay any employee a sum equal to the amount he would have received had he worked on the preceding Fridayholiday, and if the holiday falls on Sundayin addition to his regular pay, it will be observed on the following Monday. (a) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who works any in lieu of the available work days within the thirty (30) giving a compensatory day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready off. Employees regularly scheduled for work on the morning Holidays mentioned, shall receive regular straight time pay for hours worked but shall be given another compensable day for the Holiday. I. When one of the second aforementioned holidays falls within the regularly scheduled vacation period of an employee who is eligible to receive such holiday pay and he is absent from work because of such approved vacation, he shall receive a compensatory day after off or pay for the holidayday as above set forth. J. Generally all holidays falling on Saturday shall be taken on Friday and all holidays falling on Sunday shall be taken on Monday. K. In addition to the holidays designated in paragraph "b" the County may, unless his return without prejudice and without the establishment of precedent, designate any other holiday or grant time at its own discretion. Employees who are required to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his controlsuch designated holidays, shall receive compensatory time off or pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holidaysame. An employee, who desires to leave prior to the holiday and is ready for work for the second (2nd) day following the holiday, shall make reasonable arrangements with the Company prior to leaving, unless other arrangements have been agreed to between the Company and Union either at Camp level or at Management level. (b) If an employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02 and who works any of the available work days All holidays earned in a calendar year must be used within the thirty (30) days immediately prior to of the holiday, is on authorized leave end of absence other than as provided in 7.03 when the holiday occurs, he that calendar year or an employee shall receive holiday pay be compensated for the first holiday that occurs during his absence, provided he returns to work on time, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control. (e) If an employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 is recalled and works any time during the fourteen (14) calendar day period immediately following the holiday, he shall receive holiday pay for the preceding holiday. (f) An employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 and is on vacation shall be entitled to holiday pay and additional time off for any holidays occurring within such vacation period. 7.03 A special leave written permission of absence shall be granted to a qualified employee who must travel a long distance to be home for Christmas, in which event such an employee will receive pay for the holidays provided he returns on time. Any request for such leave of absence must be made to the Camp Xxxxxxx no later than December 1st. Where an employee is prevented by circumstances beyond his control from returning to work on time, he shall be paid for the holidays. (a) If qualified, a pieceworker will be paid at the rate of Xxxxxx (Tree Length Skidding) for the holiday, and a day worker shall be paid a day's pay at his or her regular rate department head. However, employees will not lose holiday pay except if an employee refuses to be scheduled for a holiday prior to exceeding the holidayfour (4) holiday limit. (b) A day worker M. Not withstanding any other provisions of this Article, employees who is requested to work on any holiday Independence Day (July 4), Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day (December 25) shall be paid for all time worked at the rate of receive time and one-half (1/2) his regular rate for the first eight (8) all hours of work and at the rate of double time after eight (8) hours of work, and, if qualified, in addition, shall receive one (1) day's pay at such regular rate in lieu of the holidayworked on those days.

(c) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is obliged to cease work due to a lay-off during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday, shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such thirty (30) day period. (d) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is obliged to cease work due to sickness or accident certified by a licensed practitioner during the twenty-one (21) day period immediately prior to the holiday shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such twenty-one (21) day period. (e) If an employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 is recalled and works any time during the fourteen (14) calendar day period immediately following the holiday, he shall receive holiday pay for the preceding holiday. (f) An 12.03 Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 12.01 of this Article, no employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 and is on vacation shall be entitled to holiday pay and additional time off for any holidays occurring within such vacation period. 7.03 A special leave of absence shall be granted to a qualified employee who must travel a long distance to be home for Christmas, in which event such an employee will receive pay for the holidays provided he returns on time. Any request for such leave of absence must be made to the Camp Xxxxxxx no later than December 1st. Where an employee is prevented by circumstances beyond his control from returning to work on time, he shall be paid for the holidays.who: (a) If qualifiedfails to work both the last scheduled shift before and the first scheduled shift after the holiday in question. The Company, however, shall not refuse to excuse an employee from work if he is absent because of a pieceworker will death in his immediate family. (g) Payment for holidays not worked shall be computed by multiplying the employee's respective hourly rate by the number of time and one-half (1/2) his regular rate for the first eight (8) hours of work and at the rate of double time after eight (8) hours of work, and, if qualified, normally worked in addition, shall receive one (1l) day's pay at such regular rate in lieu of day by the holidayemployee.

HOLIDAYS WITH PAY. 7.01 Employees 8.1 Eleven (11) holidays with pay will be allowed during the year, as follows : Statutory Holidays Other Holidays New Year’s Day January 2nd Family Day Civic Holiday Good Friday Victoria Day Dominion Day Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Boxing Day 8.2 Due do the nature of the work, holidays with pay will be observed the day it occurs. All employees who qualify under Section 12.02 shall be paid without the performance terms of work the Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA) are eligible for the following holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing DayStatutory Holidays noted above in accordance with the ESA. When any Only permanent Full-time employees are eligible for the “Other Holidays” noted above. Due do to the nature of the above work, holidays fall on Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding Friday, and if the holiday falls on Sunday, it with pay will be observed on the following Mondayday it occurs. (a) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready for work on the morning of the second day after the holiday, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. An employee, who desires to leave prior to the holiday and is ready for work for the second (2nd) day following the holiday, shall make reasonable arrangements with the Company prior to leaving, unless other arrangements have been agreed to between the Company and Union either at Camp level or at Management level. Any request for such leave of absence must be made to the Camp Xxxxxxx no later than December 1st. Where an employee is prevented by circumstances beyond his control from returning to work on time, he shall be paid for the holidays. (a) If qualified, a pieceworker will be paid at the rate of Xxxxxx (Tree Length Skidding) for the holiday, and a day worker shall be paid a day's pay at his or her regular rate for the holiday. (b) A day worker who is requested to work on any holiday shall be paid for all time worked at the rate of time and one-half (1/2) his regular rate for the first eight (8) hours of work and at the rate the employee has worked the majority of the pay period in which the holiday occurs. 8.4 To be eligible for a holiday with pay, the employee must work his/her full scheduled shifts before and after the holiday unless the absence is for a valid reason. 8.5 If work is performed on any of these holidays, only those hours worked during the 24 hour (00:01 – 12:00 HR / 12:01 – 23:59 HR) will be paid for at double the regular hourly rate, plus holiday pay. 8.6 Work to be performed on any of these holidays will be offered to permanent full-time employees before it is offered to part-time or temporary employees. 8.7 When a holiday with pay is observed on a Monday: a) shifts available will be posted b) permanent scheduled employees will bid for the double time after eight (8) hours of workby seniority per shift c) if no permanent employees are interested, and, if qualified, in addition, shall receive one (1shift(s) day's pay at such regular rate in lieu of the holiday.that remain available will be offered to temporary or part-time employee(s)

When Recreation Day in those districts where Hobart Regatta Day is not observed, or such other day as may be observed in the locality in lieu of any of the above holidays fall on Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding Friday, and if the holiday falls on Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. (a) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready for work on the morning of the second day after the holiday, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. An employee, who desires to leave prior to the holiday and is ready for work for the second (2nd) day following the holiday, shall make reasonable arrangements with the Company prior to leaving, unless other arrangements have been agreed to between the Company and Union either at Camp level or at Management levelaforementioned holidays. (b) If an employeePayment for the holidays mentioned in subclause (a) which are taken and not worked, who qualifies under Section 12.02 and who works any shall be at the normal rate of the available work days within the thirty (30) days immediately prior pay which would have applied to the employee concerned, when if it were not for such holiday, is on authorized leave of absence other than as provided in 7.03 when the holiday occurs, he shall receive holiday pay for the first holiday that occurs during his absence, provided he returns to work on time, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his controlhe/she had been at work. (c) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, Where an employee who is obliged entitled to cease holidays in accordance with subclause (a) is required to work due to on any of the holidays mentioned in that subclause, either for part or the whole of such day he/she shall in the case of a lay-off during shift worker be paid at the thirty (30) rate prescribed in Clause 28 - Shift Work, and in the case of a day period immediately prior to worker be paid at the holiday, shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such thirty (30) day periodovertime rate prescribed in Clause 27 - Overtime - Day Workers. (d) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is obliged to cease work due to sickness or accident certified by a licensed practitioner during the twenty-one (21) day period immediately prior to the holiday shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such twenty-one (21) day period. (e) If an employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 is recalled and works any time during the fourteen (14) calendar day period immediately following the holiday, he shall receive holiday pay for the preceding holiday. (f) An employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 and is on vacation shall be entitled to holiday pay and additional time off for any holidays occurring within such vacation period. 7.03 A special leave of absence shall be granted to a qualified employee who must travel a long distance to be home for Christmas, in which event such an employee will receive pay for the holidays provided he returns on time. Any request for such leave of absence must be made to the Camp Xxxxxxx no later than December 1st. Where an employee is prevented by circumstances beyond his control from returning to work on time, he shall be paid for the holidays. (a) If qualified, a pieceworker will be paid at the rate of Xxxxxx (Tree Length Skidding) for the holiday, and a day worker shall be paid a day's pay at his or her regular rate for the holiday. (b) A day worker who is requested required to work on any of the holidays mentioned in subclause (a), where such holiday shall be paid for all time worked applies at the rate of time and one-half (1/2) his regular rate for the first eight (8) hours his/her normal place of work and but because his/her duties require the employee to work at a place where the rate of double time after eight (8) hours of work, and, if qualified, in additionholiday does not apply, shall receive one (1) day's pay at such regular rate have the time in lieu of the holidaysuch holiday added to his/her annual leave entitlement.

HOLIDAYS WITH PAY. 7.01 Employees A. All full-time employees who qualify under Section 12.02 shall be paid without have been on the performance of work County payroll for the previous thirty (30) consecutive days, who work the last scheduled working day prior to and the first scheduled working day after any of the following holidays: eleven and one half (11 ½) holidays shall receive their regular pay for those eleven and one half (11 ½) days, subject to the following conditions as outlined in letters "D", "E", "F", "G", "H", "I", "J", and "K". B. The eleven and one half (11 ½) holidays referred to above are as follows: 1) New Year's Day Presidents Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Columbus Day Veteran's Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Two and one half (2 ½) Floating Holidays 2) Two and one half (2 ½) Floating Holidays to be taken on dates selected by the employee subject to the approval of the appropriate department head. 3) One half (½) Floating Holiday. Employees who have not used this will be considered for preference to use it either the day before Christmas or the day before New Year’s Day. For employees working a 40 hour work week this equals 4 hours, Good Fridayfor employees working a 37.5 hour work week this equals 3.75 hours, Victoria for employees working a 35 hour work week this equals 3.5 hours. Unused holiday time must be taken by no later than January 31 of the following calendar year or an employee shall be compensated for such holidays in accordance with subparagraph "H". 4) Where employees’ work week is Tuesday through Saturday, and when holidays fall on a Monday, the County will provide those employees with the option of a “floating holiday” instead of holiday pay. These “floating holidays” are to be taken on a date selected by the employee subject to the approval of the appropriate department head and may not be used prior to being earned, i.e. they can only be used following the Monday on which the holiday is normally observed. C. Permanent part-time employees shall receive the following six (6) paid holidays a year: 1) New Year's Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day D. In those departments where it is necessary to maintain operations, Canada Daysuch as the Department of Public Works, Civic etc., a compensatory day will be granted at a time agreeable to both the employee and the department head for those employees required to work on the holiday. E. Absences on the last scheduled working day prior to and the first scheduled working day after the holiday will be excused provided the employee presents a reason satisfactory to the department head. F. Employees who have been requested to report for essential work on a holiday and who have accepted the assignment and who then fail to report without satisfactory reason to perform such work, shall not receive holiday pay. G. In applying this procedure, when any of the above enumerated holidays fall on Saturday or Sunday and the State or Federal Government observes another day, it shall be the policy of Delaware County to do likewise, except as otherwise stated in this Agreement. H. Further in applying this policy, it shall be the prerogative of Delaware County to pay any employee a sum equal to the amount they would have received had they worked on the holiday, in addition to their regular pay, in lieu of giving a compensatory day off. Employees regularly scheduled for work on the Holidays mentioned, shall receive regular straight time pay for hours worked but shall be given another compensable day for the Holiday. I. When one of the aforementioned holidays falls within the regularly scheduled vacation period of an employee who is eligible to receive such holiday pay and they are absent from work because of such approved vacation, Labour Daythey shall receive a compensatory day off or pay for the day as above set forth. J. Generally all holidays falling on Saturday shall be taken on Friday and all holidays falling on Sunday shall be taken on Monday. K. In addition to the holidays designated in paragraph "B" the County may, without prejudice and without the establishment of precedent, designate any other holiday or grant time at its own discretion. Employees who are required to work on such designated holidays, shall receive compensatory time off or pay for the same. All holidays earned in a calendar year must be used by January 31 of the following calendar year or an employee shall be compensated for such holidays in accordance with subparagraph "H". L. Employees may not accumulate more than four (4) holidays except with the written permission of their department head. However, employees will not lose holiday pay except if an employee refuses to be scheduled for a holiday prior to exceeding the four (4) holiday limit. M. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Article, employees who work on Independence Day (July 4), Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. When any of the above holidays fall on Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding Friday, and if the holiday falls on Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. (aDecember 25) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who works any of the available work days within the thirty and/or New Year’s Day (30January 1) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready for work on the morning of the second day after the holiday, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. Day When any of the above holidays fall on Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding Friday, and if the holiday falls on Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. Designated dates for the above statutory holidays are as per attached schedule. (a) An employeeemployee who has established seniority in accordance with Article XII, who qualifies under Section 12.02is eligible for Holiday Pay provided that: i) he works his last scheduled shift prior to the holiday and he works his first scheduled shift following the holiday, who works unless excused by Management; or ii) he has worked any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not is on authorized leave work sooner than two (2) days before of absence when the holiday and is ready occurs. In this case he shall receive Holiday Pay for work on the morning of the second day after the holiday, unless first holiday that occurs during his return absence; provided he returns to work on time time; or iii) he is prevented by circumstances beyond his control, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits obliged to cease work due to lay off during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. An employee, who desires to leave prior to the holiday and is ready for work for the second (2nd) day following the holiday, shall make reasonable arrangements with the Company prior to leaving, unless other arrangements have been agreed to between the Company and Union either at Camp level or at Management level. (b) If an employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02 and who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) days immediately prior to the holiday, is on authorized leave of absence other than as provided in 7.03 when the holiday occurs, In this case he shall receive holiday pay for the first holiday that occurs during his absence, provided he returns to work on time, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control. (c) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is obliged to cease work due to a lay-off during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday, shall receive holiday pay Holiday Pay for the holiday(s) within such thirty (30) day period.; or (div) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who he is obliged to cease work due to sickness or accident certified by a licensed practitioner during the twenty-one (21) day period immediately prior to the holiday holiday. In the case he shall receive holiday pay Holiday Pay for the holiday(s) within such twenty-one (21) day period.; or (ev) If an employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 he is recalled and works any time during the fourteen (14) calendar day period immediately following the holiday, . In this case he shall receive holiday pay Holiday Pay for the preceding holiday. (fb) An employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 and is on vacation vacation, shall be entitled to holiday pay Holiday Pay and additional time off for any holidays occurring within such vacation period. 7.03 A special leave of absence c) Holiday Pay shall be granted to a qualified employee who must travel a long distance to be home for Christmas, in which event such an employee will receive pay for the holidays provided he returns on time. (b) A day worker who is requested to work on any holiday shall be paid for all time worked at the rate of time and one-half (1/2) his regular rate for the first eight (8) or ten (10) hours of work and at the rate of double time after eight (8) employee's regular hourly rate, consistent with his scheduled hours of work, and, if qualified, in addition, shall receive one (1) day's pay at such regular rate in lieu of the holidayper shift for his scheduled work week.

(a) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready for work on the morning of the second day after the holiday, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. An employee, who desires to leave prior to the holiday and is ready for work for the second (2nd) day following the holiday, shall make reasonable arrangements with the Company prior to leaving, unless other arrangements have been agreed to between the Company and Union either at Camp level or at Management level.mentioned herein.. (f) An employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 and is on vacation shall be entitled to holiday pay and additional time off for any holidays occurring within such vacation period. 7.03 A special leave of absence shall be granted to a qualified employee who must travel a long distance to be home for Christmas, in which event such an employee will receive pay for the holidays provided he returns on time. HOLIDAYS WITH PAY. 7.01 Employees who qualify under Section 12.02 ‌ 1. When Effective January 1, 2009, and every year thereafter, a permanent floating holiday shall be included and Election Day shall be excluded from the holiday schedule. The employees shall choose the floating holiday subject to the approval of management. 2. Where any of the foregoing holidays fall on a Saturday, the Corporation will designate the Employee’s alternate day off with pay. Holidays falling on Sunday will continue to be observed on Monday. 3. All Employees required to work on any of the above holidays fall on Saturdaylisted holidays, it shall be observed on (excluding the preceding Fridayfloating holiday), and if not the holiday falls on Sundayin lieu of day, it will be observed on not receive the following Monday. Excluding the floating holiday, additional days off with pay shall be granted for time earned due to working on holidays and/or holidays falling on an Employee’s scheduled day off. Holiday time balances should be kept separate from any other time bank. Said balances must be used prior to the end of the next calendar quarter. If this balance is not used within the prescribed period, it will be paid off in cash at the Employee’s then applicable regular straight time rate. 5. Once approved, holiday time may not be canceled by the department within forty-eight (8) 48) hours of work and the time it is to be taken, unless a bona fide emergency exists. 6. Should any additional holiday balances remain at the time of an Employee’s death, resignation or termination, such time will be paid at the Employee’s than applicable regular straight time rate of double time after eight (8) hours of work, and, if qualified, in addition, shall receive one (1) day's pay at such regular rate in lieu of either to the holidayEmployee or the Employee’s beneficiary or estate as the case may be.

HOLIDAYS WITH PAY. 7.01 Employees who qualify under Section 12.02 shall be paid without the performance of work for the following holidays: New Year's Years Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Dominion Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Employees who have accumulated one hundred and twenty days seniority will be granted two floating holidays per year. Such holidays will be taken at a time satisfactory to the and his supervisor. The holidays, who qualifies under Section 12.02Dominion Day and Remembrance Day may be observed on any such other day as may be mutually agreed to by the parties to this agreement. In the case of Victoria Day, who works any Dominion Day, Civic Holiday, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day holidays, qualified employees to be eligible for holiday pay, must work their last work day or holiday and be in camp ready for work at the start of their first work day or shift following the available work days within holiday. In the thirty (30) day period immediately case of Labour Day, Christmas, Boxing Day and New Years Day, there will be a scheduled shutdown excluding essential services. It is arranged by the parties. Either party may initiate discussions at least two weeks prior to the holiday. See Letter of Understanding Christmas Shutdown. (f) An employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 and is on vacation shall be entitled to holiday pay and additional time off for any holidays occurring within such vacation period. 7.03 A . If qualified, a day worker who is requested to work on any holiday shall be paid for all time worked at the rate of time and one-half (1/2) his regular rate for the first eight (8) hours of work and at the rate of rate; double time for all hours worked after having worked eight (8) hours of work, and, if qualified, in addition, on the holiday. In addition he shall receive one (1) day's pay at such regular rate in lieu of the holiday. Pieceworkers shall not work on holidays.

However, should an occasion arise when employees requesting the same day at the same time would unduly interfere with the efficiency of the department, company seniority within that department shall govern. (3) Floating holidays must be taken on a day the employee would otherwise be scheduled to work. (4) Payment for a floating holiday shall be eight (8) hours at the employee’s regular rate of pay, on his last standard day or shift worked prior to the holiday. An employee who has by reason of lay-off is prevented from taking his floating holiday, shall receive pay in lieu of such holiday. (a) An employeeemployee has established seniority in accordance with Article XII, who qualifies under Section 12.02, and who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday Holiday, and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before who works his last scheduled shift prior to the holiday Holiday and is ready for work on his first scheduled shift following the morning of the second day after the holidayHoliday, unless his return due to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his controlcontrol he is prevented from working the shifts, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. Request for floaters are to be submitted in writing on forms supplied by the Company, three (3) working days in advance of the floater with the exception of emergency situations. Management will respond within twenty-four (24) hours of receiving the request. An employee who by reason of lay-off is prevented from taking his floating holiday shall receive pay in lieu of such holiday, during the current year. 7.02 An employee who has established seniority in accordance with Article 12.02 is eligible for holiday pay provided he works his last scheduled shift immediately preceding the holidays and his first scheduled shift immediately following the holidays, unless prevented by reasons beyond his control and the employee takes the necessary steps to advise his immediate supervisor. (ai) An employee, employee who qualifies is qualified under Section 12.02, Article XII and who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready for work on the morning of the second day after the holiday, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. An employee, who desires to leave prior to the holiday and is ready for work for the second (2nd) day following the holiday, shall make reasonable arrangements with the Company prior to leaving, unless other arrangements have been agreed to between the Company and Union either at Camp level or at Management level. (b) If an employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02 and who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) days immediately prior to the holiday, is on authorized leave of absence other than as provided in 7.03 when the holiday occurs, he shall receive holiday pay for the first holiday that occurs during his absence, provided he returns to work on time, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control. (cii) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, employee who is obliged to cease qualified under Article XII and who ceases work due to a lay-off layoff, during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday, shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(sholiday (s) within such thirty (30) day period. (diii) An employee, who qualifies employee qualified under Section 12.02Article XII, who is obliged to cease work due to sickness or accident certified by a licensed practitioner during the twenty-one thirty (2130) day period immediately prior to the holiday holiday, shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(sholiday (s) within such twenty-one thirty (2130) day period. (a) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday and does not leave work sooner than two (2) days before the holiday and is ready for work on the morning of the second day after the holiday, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control, shall receive pay for the holiday unless he quits during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday. An employeee mployee, who desires to leave prior to the holiday holid y and is ready for work for the second (2nd) day following a dayfollowing the holiday, shall make reasonable arrangements arran gements with the Company prior to leaving, unless other arrangements have been agreed to between the Company and Union either at Camp level or at Management level. (b) If an employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02 and who works any of the available work days within the thirty (30) days immediately prior to the holiday, is on authorized leave of absence other than as provided in 7.03 when the holiday occurs, he shall receive holiday pay for the first holiday that occurs during his absence, provided he returns to work on time, unless his return to work on time is prevented by circumstances beyond his control. (c) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is obliged to cease work due to a lay-off during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the holiday, shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such thirty (30) day period. (d) An employee, who qualifies under Section 12.02, who is obliged to cease work due to sickness or accident certified by a licensed practitioner during the twenty-one (21) day period immediately prior to the holiday shall receive holiday pay for the holiday(s) within such twenty-one (21) day period. (e) If an employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 is recalled and works any time during the fourteen (14) calendar day period immediately following the holiday, he shall receive holiday pay for the preceding holiday. (f) An employee who qualifies under Section 12.02 and is on vacation shall be entitled to holiday pay and additional time off for any holidays occurring within such vacation period. 7.03 A special leave of absence shall be granted to a qualified employee who must travel a long distance to be home for Christmas, in which event such an employee will receive pay for the holidays provided he returns on time. Any request for fo r such leave of absence must be made to the Camp Xxxxxxx For eman no later than December 1st. Where W here an employee is prevented by circumstances beyond his control from returning to work on time, he shall be paid for the holidays. (a) If qualified, a pieceworker will be paid at the rate of Xxxxxx (Tree Length Skidding) for the holiday, and a day worker shall be paid a day's pay at his or her regular rate for the holiday. (b) A day worker who is requested to work on any holiday shall be paid for all time worked at the rate of time and one-half (1/2) his regular rate for the first eight (8) hours of work and at the rate of double time after eight (8) hours of work, and, if qualified, in addition, shall receive one (1) day's pay at such regular rate in lieu of the holiday. (c) A pieceworker who is requested to work on a holiday shall receive his earnings plus one-half day at the Xxxxxx (Tree Length Skidding) rate and, if qualified, shall receive in addition one day at the Xxxxxx (Tree Length Skidding) rate. Double time will be paid after eight (8) hours of work on a holiday.

HOLIDAYS WITH PAY. 7.01 Employees who qualify under Section 12.02 shall be paid without the performance of work for the following holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. When any of the above holidays fall on Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding Friday, and if the holiday falls on Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. Employees who have accumulated one hundred and twenty (120) days worked, as specified in Section 6.03, will be granted two (2) floating holidays per year. Such holidays will be taken at a time satisfactory to the employee and his supervisor. An employee who by reason of lay-off is prevented from taking his floating holidays shall receive pay in lieu of such holidays.
