HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME PAY. 10.01 The normal workweek shall consist of 44 hours per week. 10.02 Employees shall not be required to work more than 40 hours in a week in which a statutory holiday occurs. 10.03 Employees who work in excess of 44 hours per week (or 40 hours in a week where a stat holiday occurs) shall be paid at the rate of 1 ½ their regular rate of pay for all such hours worked. 10.04 Work performed on a Saturday shall be paid at the employee’s regular rate of pay until the employee’s weekly hours total 44, after which the provisions of article 10.03 shall apply. 10.05 Scheduled Sunday work required by the employer shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) times the employee’s regular rate of pay. 10.06 In addition to the unpaid thirty (30) minutes lunch break, employees shall be given two (2) fifteen (15) minute paid coffee breaks, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. When employees are assigned overtime, there shall be additional coffee breaks every two hours, with the first break scheduled for the 10th hour. The Employer will ensure that each site is provided with a facility specifically designated as a lunchroom and a clean bathroom facility.
