Common use of Illness on Long Service Leave Clause in Contracts

Illness on Long Service Leave. 27.5.1 Subject to the production of a supporting medical certificate, a teacher who becomes ill whilst on long service leave is entitled to have the period of illness treated as sick leave but only to the extent that the teacher is entitled to sick leave.

Illness on Long Service Leave. 27.5.1 24.1.1 Subject to the production requirements of a supporting medical certificate24.2.2, a teacher Teacher, who becomes ill whilst on or suffers an injury during long service leave and has an entitlement to sick leave, is entitled to have the period of illness or injury treated as sick leave, with long service leave but only reaccredited to the extent that Teacher. The Principal may require the teacher Teacher to be examined by a registered medical practitioner of the School’s choice, provided the practitioner is entitled reasonably accessible to sick leavethe Teacher.
