Immediate family or household. (a) The term immediate family includes: (i) Spouse (including a former Spouse, a de facto partner and a former de facto partner) of the Employee. A defacto partner means a person who, althoughnot legally married to the Employee, lives with the Employee in a relationship as a couple on a genuine domestic basis (whether the Employee and the person are of the same sex or different sexes); and (ii) child or an adult child (including an adopted child, a step child or an exnuptial child), parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of the Employee or Spouse of the Employee.
