In – Service/Training for Teacher Assistants. 1. Teacher Assistants are required to attend 6 ½ hours of in-service for professional development during the school year, beyond the student calendar. When the 6 ½ hours have been completed, teacher assistants are free to leave 30 minutes after student dismissal time.
2. In the case where training or in-service for teacher assistants is required for continuation in a job, compensatory time will be given where such training is offered outside of the school calendar.
