Income Certification. Borrower shall obtain, complete, and maintain on file, within sixty (60) days before expected occupancy and annually thereafter, income certifications from each Tenant renting any of the County-Assisted Units. Borrower shall make a good faith effort to verify the accuracy of the income provided by the applicant or occupying household, as the case may be, in an income certification. To verify the information, Borrower shall take two or more of the following steps: (i) obtain a pay stub for the most recent pay period; (ii) obtain an income tax return for the most recent tax year; (iii) conduct a credit agency or similar search; (iv) obtain an income verification form from the applicant's current employer; (v) obtain an income verification form from the Social Security Administration and/or the California Department of Social Services if the applicant receives assistance from either of such agencies; or (vi) if the applicant is unemployed and does not have a tax return, obtain another form of independent verification. Where applicable, Borrower shall examine at least two (2) months of relevant source documentation. Copies of Tenant income certifications are to be available to the County upon request.
Income Certification. Borrower also covenants and agrees to verify that the income information provided by an applicant or occupying household in an income certification affidavit or certificate is in compliance with the guidelines of Section 42 of Code for the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program.
Income Certification. The Borrower or its designated agent shall obtain from each Tenant leasing an Income-Restricted Unit on the Property information regarding annual income in order to ensure that the Tenant meets the income eligibility criteria for the Income-Restricted Unit. The Tenant must continue to meet these criteria in order to continue to lease the Income-Restricted Unit. The Tenant’s income must be certified annually at the beginning of each lease year. The attached form is to be used for the initial certification of income and each annual recertification. Third party verification of income is required and copies of Federal and State income tax returns, W-2 forms, pay stubs or statements from employers may be requested. The certification form must be notarized. The Borrower or its designated agent shall maintain on file for the Arlington County Housing Development Office the initial income certification for each Income Restricted Unit and the annual recertification that establishes continuing eligibility of each Tenant to lease the Income Restricted Unit. (b) For each HOPWA-Assisted Unit during the HOPWA Term, Borrower shall obtain, complete, and maintain on file, immediately prior to initial occupancy and annually thereafter, a certification from the Tenant that the HOPWA-Assisted Unit is occupied by a HOPWA-Eligible Household.

(b) For each HOPWA-Assisted Unit during the HOPWA Term, Borrower shall obtain, complete, and maintain on file, immediately prior to initial occupancy and annually thereafter, a certification from the Tenant that the HOPWA-Assisted Unit is occupied by a HOPWA-Eligible Household.
Income Certification. Qualified renters must undergo a process of income certification conducted by the subrecipient who is responsible for administering the ARP funded development.

Income Certification. The Developer will obtain, complete and maintain on file, immediately prior to initial occupancy and annually thereafter, income certifications for each Tenant renting any of the Units. Developer shall make a good faith effort to verify that the income statement provided by an applicant or Tenant is accurate by taking two or more of the following steps as a part of the verification process: (a) obtain a minimum of the three (3) most current pay stubs for all adults age eighteen (18) or older; (b) obtain an income tax return for the most recent tax year; (iii) conduct a credit agency or similar search; (c) obtain the three (3) most current savings and checking account bank statements; (d) obtain an income verification form from the applicant's current employer; (e) obtain an income verification form from the Social Security Administration and/or the California Department of Social Services if the applicant receives assistance from either of such agencies; or (f) if the applicant is unemployed and has no such tax return, obtain another form of independent verification. Copies of Tenant income certifications shall be made available to the County upon request.

Borrower shall make a good faith effort to verify the accuracy of the income provided by all applicants or all members of the occupying household, as the case may be, in the income certification. To verify the information, Borrower shall take one or more of the following steps as part of the verification process: (1) obtain a minimum of the three most current pay stubs for all adults age eighteen (18) or older; (2) obtain an income tax return for the most recent tax year; (3) conduct a credit agency or similar search; (4) obtain an income verification form from the applicant's current employer verifying employment for the last two months; (5) obtain the three (3) most current savings and checking account bank statements; (6) obtain an income verification form from the Social Security Administration and/or the California Department of Social Services if the applicant receives assistance from either of such agencies, verifying assistance for the last two months (as available from those agencies); or (7) if the applicant is unemployed and does not have a tax return, obtain another form of independent verification. Copies of Tenants' income certifications shall be available to the County upon reasonable written request.
(b) In addition, during the HOME Term, Borrower shall cause each Tenant in a HOME-Assisted Unit to execute a Certification of Tenant Eligibility in the form attached as Exhibit D, or some other alternative tenant certification reasonably approved in writing by the County. Borrower shall fill out the "Development Owner" portion of the Certification of Tenant Eligibility and provide it to the County along with supporting documentation collected by Xxxxxxxx. Copies of the Certifications of Tenant Eligibility and accompanying documentation must be maintained by Borrower and available to the County upon request.
