Increase in Force a. When it becomes necessary to increase the size of the Security Police Force, the most senior qualified employees who formerly held the specific position or a higher classification in the same Occupational Progression satisfactorily, and as a result of a decrease in force within the thirty-six (36) months preceding the time the position opening occurs was downgraded or transferred to other work, will be upgraded or transferred to the position.

Increase in Force. When an increase-in-force becomes necessary, the Company shall determine, in its discretion, the relative qualifications of the employees to perform the available assigned work. Where the qualifications of employees to perform the available assigned work are determined by the Company to be equal, the employee with the most service time shall be preferred by the Company in increasing the work force. The employer will post the vacancy(s) in each of the homes for duration of seven (7) calendar days prior to interviewing and filling vacant position(s).

  • Increase in Hours 6.4.1 For unit - 1 When additional hours are available to a part-time position on a regular basis, the hours shall be offered to the employee in the unassigned time with the greatest bargaining unit seniority. If the senior employee declines the assignment, it shall be offered to the remaining employees in the class in descending order of bargaining unit seniority until the assignment is made.
