INCREMENTS WITHIN THE SALARY RANGE. The Commissioner may grant a regular increase in salary to a member by advancing the member from one step of the salary range to the next step annually or semi-annually as prescribed by the salary schedule applicable, if the work of the member has been performed satisfactorily.
