Common use of Industrial Accident Clause in Contracts

Industrial Accident. In the event employees are absent for reasons which are covered by industrial insurance, the employee shall have the option to have a deduction made from the employees accumulated sick leave for the amount not covered by the Department of Labor and Industries to equal the amount the employee would normally earn. Section 9.4.1. Seniority shall continue to accrue for any employee up to a maximum of one (1) year provided this absence is due to an industrial accident as a result of employment with the District. Employees may continue medical insurance coverage at their expense.
