Infirmary Care and Medical Housing Unit Services. Provider agrees to: a. Provide staffing for DDOC’s infirmaries at each Level V Institution and any supplemental medical-housing units. b. Ensure its Personnel are stationed in each infirmary so that Inmates are able to gain Personnel’s attention through direct visual or auditory signals. c. Utilize the infirmary units in a manner consistent with NCCHC standards, principles and practice, and in response to specific requests from the DDOC. d. Employ a sufficient number of qualified healthcare professionals (“QHCP”) for the infirmaries. e. Provide 24/7/365 direct nursing care of Inmates in the infirmary. f. As clinically indicated, nurses shall record xxxxx xxxxx and follow established nursing protocols and orders based on the Inmate’s health condition. g. Provide care in keeping with DDOC Policy F-02 Infirmary Level Care and nationally accepted standards and guidelines for the Inmates’ medical conditions. h. Admit and discharge Inmates from the infirmary based on the clinical discretion of the site medical director or designee (who must be a physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner). i. Have a Bachelor’s-prepared nurse or a registered nurse with extensive administrative experience as the Director of Nursing at each site with an infirmary. j. Have on-call physician (MD/DO) coverage 24/7/365 available to each site, with physicians reachable by phone at all times. k. In conjunction with the Facility Management, maintain an infirmary which is safe and clean for the provision of healthcare services. l. Provide to the BHSAMH Medical Treatment Services Director or designee, a daily report of Inmates in the infirmary and a summary of their condition.

Infirmary Care and Medical Housing Unit Services. The DDOC has four infirmaries located in Xxxxxx X. Xxxxx Correctional Institution (HRYCI), Sussex Correctional Institution (SCI), Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution (BWCI), and JTVCC with a total complement of 91 infirmary beds: HYRCI (30 beds); BWCI (7); JTVCC (44) and SCI (10 beds). The DDOC may, at its discretion, allot additional infirmary beds at any time. The Provider shall work with the DDOC in this situation to increase staffing as needed. The Provider shall: 1. Provide appropriate and sufficient staffing of the DDOC’s four infirmaries and any supplemental medical-housing units. 2. Provide sufficient staffing in each infirmary so that patients are always able to gain a healthcare professional’s attention through direct visual or auditory signals. 3. Utilize the infirmary units in a manner consistent with NCCHC standards, principles, and practice, and in response to specific requests from the DDOC. 4. Provide 24/7/365 direct, in-person nursing care of patients in the infirmary. This care must be supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN) who is assigned to work in the infirmary on all shifts. This supervising RN shall not have additional duties assigned during that shift. 5. Provide and document care in keeping with BHSAMH Policy F-02 Infirmary Level Care and nationally accepted standards and guidelines for the patient's medical conditions. 6. Admit and discharge patients from the infirmary based on the clinical discretion of the site medical director or designee (who must be a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner). 7. Have a bachelor’s prepared nurse or a registered nurse with extensive administrative experience as the Director of Nursing at each facility. 8. Have on-call physician (MD/DO) coverage 24/7/365 available to each facility, with physicians reachable by phone at all times. 9. In conjunction with facility administration, maintain an infirmary which is safe and clean for the provision of healthcare services. Provide to the BHSAMH Medical Treatment Services Director (or designee), a daily report of patients in the infirmary and a summary of their condition.

  • Hospice Services Services are available for a Member whose Attending Physician has determined the Member's illness will result in a remaining life span of six months or less.

  • Family Care and Medical Leave An unpaid Family Care and Medical Leave shall be granted, to the extent of and subject to the restrictions as set forth below, to an employee who has been employed for at least twelve (12) months and who has served for 130 workdays during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the effective date of the leave. For purposes of this Section, furlough days and days worked during off-basis time shall count as "workdays". Family Care and Medical Leave absences of twenty (20) consecutive working days or less can be granted by the immediate administrator or designee. Leaves of twenty (20) or more consecutive working days can be granted only by submission of a formal leave application to the Personnel Commission.

  • Chiropractic Services This plan covers chiropractic visits up to the benefit limit shown in the Summary of Medical Benefits. The benefit limit applies to any visit for the purposes of chiropractic treatment or diagnosis.

  • Outpatient Services Physicians, Urgent Care Centers and other Outpatient Providers located outside the BlueCard® service area will typically require You to pay in full at the time of service. You must submit a Claim to obtain reimbursement for Covered Services.

  • Medical Services Plan Regular Full-Time and Temporary Full-Time Employees shall be entitled to be covered under the Medical Services Plan commencing the first day of the calendar month following the date of employment. The City shall pay one hundred percent (100%) of the premiums required by the plan.

  • Medical Care The Parents must comply with the School Welfare Officer's recommendations which may include a reasonable decision to release the Pupil home or to his / her education guardian when s/he is unwell.

  • Pharmacy Services The Contractor shall establish a network of pharmacies. The Contractor or its PBM must provide at least two (2) pharmacy providers within thirty (30) miles or thirty (30) minutes from a member’s residence in each county, as well as at least two (2) durable medical equipment providers in each county or contiguous county.

  • Clinical Management for Behavioral Health Services (CMBHS) System 1. request access to CMBHS via the CMBHS Helpline at (000) 000-0000. 2. use the CMBHS time frames specified by System Agency. 3. use System Agency-specified functionality of the CMBHS in its entirety. 4. submit all bills and reports to System Agency through the CMBHS, unless otherwise instructed.

  • COVERED HEALTHCARE SERVICES This section describes covered healthcare services. This plan covers services only if they meet all of the following requirements: • Listed as a covered healthcare service in this section. The fact that a provider has prescribed or recommended a service, or that it is the only available treatment for an illness or injury does not mean it is a covered healthcare service under this plan. • Medically necessary, consistent with our medical policies and related guidelines at the time the services are provided. • Not listed in Exclusions Section. • Received while a member is enrolled in the plan. • Consistent with applicable state or federal law. We review medical necessity in accordance with our medical policies and related guidelines. Our medical policies can be found on our website. Our medical policies are written to help administer benefits for the purpose of claims payment. They are made available to you for informational purposes and are subject to change. Medical policies are not meant to be used as a guide for your medical treatment. Your medical treatment remains a decision made by you with your physician. If you have questions about our medical policies, please call Customer Service. When a new service or drug becomes available, when possible, we will review it within six (6) months of one of the events described below to determine whether the new service or drug will be covered: • the assignment of an American Medical Association (AMA) Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code in the annual CPT publication; • final Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval; • the assignment of processing codes other than CPT codes or approval by governing or regulatory bodies other than the FDA; • submission to us of a claim meeting the criteria above; and • generally, the first date an FDA approved prescription drug is available in pharmacies (for prescription drug coverage only). During the review period, new services and drugs are not covered. For all covered healthcare services, please see the Summary of Medical Benefits and the Summary of Pharmacy Benefits to determine the amount that you pay and any benefit limits.

  • Health Care Operations “Health Care Operations” shall have the same meaning as the term “health care operations” in 45 CFR §164.501.
