Injur y on the Job. Whenever an employee is absent from employment due to an injury sustained in the course of employment, including travel between employee's work sites (if they work in more than one building), the employee will be paid full salary from the school district for the period of absence, as long as the employee has accrued sick leave hours. The employee may also receive payments from workers' compensation. It is voluntary for the employee to tum in their sick leave payments for credit of sick leave hours back to their accounts. They may keep both the payments from the school district (which will result in decreasing their sick leave hours to possibly a no pay status) and the payments from workers' compensation.

  • INJURY ON THE JOB When an employee is injured on the job, there shall be no deduction from the employee's pay for the day in which the employee was injured and reported for medical care. When such employee returns to work following the injury, and is certified as ready and able to perform all regular duties, but requires medical treatment as a result of the same injury, the Employer shall adjust the work schedules without penalty to the Employer, to provide both the time for medical care and the number of hours of work for which the employee is regularly scheduled.

  • Effect on the Agreement Except as specifically amended or waived by this Amendment, all terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. The term "Agreement" used in the Agreement shall mean the Agreement as amended hereby.

  • Actions We May Take if You Engage in Any Restricted Activities If we believe that you’ve engaged in any of these activities, we may take a number of actions to protect PayPal, its customers and others at any time in our sole discretion. The actions we make take include, but are not limited to, the following: • Terminate this user agreement, limit your account, and/or close or suspend your account, immediately and without penalty to us; • Refuse to provide the PayPal services to you in the future; • At any time and without liability, suspend, limit or terminate your access to our websites, software, systems (including any networks and servers used to provide any of the PayPal services) operated by us or on our behalf, your PayPal account or any of the PayPal services, including limiting your ability to pay or send money with any of the payment methods linked to your PayPal account, restricting your ability to send money or make withdrawals; • Hold your money to the extent and for so long as reasonably needed to protect against the risk of liability. After we receive your letter, we cannot try to collect any amount you question, or report you as delinquent. We can continue to bill you for the amount you question, including finance charges and we can apply any unpaid amount against your credit limit. You do not have to pay any questioned amount while we are investigating, but you are still obligated to pay the parts of your bill that are not in question. If we find that we made a mistake on your bill, you will not have to pay any finance charges related to any questioned amount. If we didn’t make a mistake, you may have to pay finance charges, and you will have to make up any missed payments on the questioned amount. In either case, we will send you a statement of the amount you owe and the date that it is due. If you fail to pay the amount that we think you owe, we may report you as delinquent. However, if our explanation does not satisfy you and you write to us within ten days telling us that you still refuse to pay, we must tell anyone we report you to that you have a question about your bill. In addition, we must tell you the name of anyone we reported you to. Upon settlement of a disputed bill, we must notify anyone we reported you to that the matter has been settled. If we don’t follow these rules, we can’t collect the first $50 of the questioned amount, even if your bill was correct.

  • On-the-Job Injury (a) If an employee is injured to such an extent that they are obliged to cease work, their wages will continue for the balance of the day on which the injury occurred. (b) The Company shall furnish adequate emergency transportation to and from the nearest suitable doctor or hospital for any employee injured or who has become seriously ill while in the Company’s employ.
