Legal Protection 7.14.1 The University shall provide legal representation to any Member of the Bargaining Unit who is named a defendant in a civil action based on performance of the Member’s duties within the scope of employment. Legal representation will be at the Member’s request, subject to the approval of the Ohio Attorney General and in accordance with Ohio law. Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 9.87 the University shall seek indemnification from the state for liability or judgment of any Member of the Bargaining Unit resulting from the performance of his or her duties for the University. Nothing in this Section is intended to expand or conflict with current Ohio law.
Employment Protection A regular employee who is displaced from their job because of technological change will be considered to be laid off according to Article 13 (Layoff and Recall).
Employment Protection Provisions 9.1.1 ‘Restructuring’ is given the same definition as in section 69OI of the Employment Relations Act 2000 and includes:
Job Protection 15.9.1 Subject to 15.10 below, an employee returning from parental leave is entitled to resume work in the same position or a similar position to the one they occupied at the time of commencing parental leave. A similar position means a position:
Meadow Protection Reasonable care shall be taken to avoid damage to the cover, soil, and wa- ter in xxxxxxx shown on Sale Area Map. Vehicular or skidding equipment shall not be used on xxxxxxx, ex- cept where roads, landings, and tractor roads are ap- proved under B5.1 or B6.422. Unless otherwise agreed, trees felled into xxxxxxx shall be removed by endlining. Resulting logging slash shall be removed where neces- sary to protect cover, soil, and water.
Employment Practices Contractor agrees to abide by the following employment laws: (i)Title VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 2000e) which prohibits discrimination against any employee or applicant for employment or any applicant or recipient of services, on the basis of race, religion, color, or national origin; (ii) Executive Order No. 11246, as amended, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex; (iii) 45 CFR 90 which prohibits discrimination on the basis of age; (iv) Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, or the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disabilities; and (v) Utah's Executive Order, dated December 13, 2006, which prohibits unlawful harassment in the work place. Contractor further agrees to abide by any other laws, regulations, or orders that prohibit the discrimination of any kind of any of Contractor’s employees.
COMPLIANCE WITH EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY ORDINANCE 2.16.1 Contractor shall comply with City’s Equal Employment Opportunity Ordinance as set out in in Section 15-17 of the Code of Ordinances.
COMPLIANCE BY CONTRACTOR WITH LAWS AND REGULATIONS/ EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY 6.1 In connection with the performance of the Services, the Contractor shall comply with all applicable statutes, laws, regulations, and orders of federal, state, county or municipal authorities which impose any obligation or duty upon the Contractor, including, but not limited to, civil rights and equal employment opportunity laws. In addition, if this Agreement is funded in any part by monies of the United States, the Contractor shall comply with all federal executive orders, rules, regulations and statutes, and with any rules, regulations and guidelines as the State or the United States issue to implement these regulations. The Contractor shall also comply with all applicable intellectual property laws.
