Sick Leave Hours. Sick leave hours earned and unused at the time of layoff shall be restored upon reemployment.
Sick Leave Hours. An employee may donate a portion of his or her accrued sick leave to 4 another leave eligible employee provided the donating employee’s sick leave balance will be 100 5 hours or more following the donation. The donation will occur following written approval from both 6 the donating and receiving employee’s directors. An employee may not donate more than 25 hours 7 of accrued sick leave in a calendar year.

Provided that the unit member is reemployed within 39 months from the effective date of layoff, sick leave hours earned and unused at the time of layoff shall be restored upon reemployment, unless the unit member transferred sick leave hours after accepting employment in another California school district, county office, or community college district employer within one year of the effective date of layoff. In such cases, the unit member shall be entitled to transfer back only those hours that remain with the other employer.

Sick Leave Hours. 27 1. Any full-time regular employee or part-time regular employee who is 28 employed at least half-time and received vacation and sick leave may donate a portion of his or her 1 accrued sick leave to a full-time regular employee or part-time regular employee who is employed at 2 least half-time and receives vacation and sick leave, upon written notice to the Council Administrator 3 or designee.
4 2. No donation shall be permitted unless the donating employee’s sick leave 5 accrual balance immediately subsequent to the donation is one hundred (100) hours or more. No 6 employee may donate more than twenty-five (25) hours of his or her accrued sick leave in a calendar 7 year.
8 3. Donated sick leave hours must be used within ninety (90) calendar days. 9 Donated hours not used within ninety (90) days or due to the death of the receiving employee shall 10 revert to the donor. Donated sick leave hours shall be excluded from the sick leave payoff provisions 11 contained in this Agreement, and sick leave restoration provisions contained in this Agreement.
Sick Leave Hours. Paid sick leave is a benefit provided by the City for the use by the employee during a period of illness, sickness or medical treatment of the employee that prevent the employees from performing their assigned duties and for purposes identified in this section dealing with sick leave. It is the responsibility of supervisors and management personnel to verify that sick leave is appropriately utilized. Failure of the employee to cooperate completely in any investigation initiated by management regarding sick leave requested by the employee shall result in the denial of paid leave and possible disciplinary action. Abuse of this benefit will result in disciplinary action including possible dismissal.
A. Time off due to personal illness, injury, or medical treatment (including pregnancy and childbirth), prescheduled doctor's and dentist's appointments, and other related medical conditions may be charged to sick leave as provided. Absence from work to care for an ill or injured member of one's immediate family may also be charged to sick leave.
B. Employees will accrue sick leave at the rate of three point eight seven five (3.875) hours of sick leave per pay period for a total of one hundred (100) hours per year.
C. The maximum sick leave accrual is one thousand five hundred (1500) hours.
D. Employees may cash in up to one hundred eight (108) hours of sick leave accrual over six hundred (600) hours at fifty percent (50%) of the employee's regular rate of pay. Such cash out shall be requested during the 1st full pay period in December.
E. Xxxx leave is subject to the approval of the supervisor and must be requested prior to or at the beginning of the first work day and each successive work day the employee is absent, except when the employee has submitted a statement from a medical provider which justifies the absence and identifies the duration of the absence. When an interwoven combination of Sick and Vacation leave are used to fulfill a pay period, then it shall be subject to the approval of the Supervisor and the Chief (or their designee); and all aspects for the use and justification of Sick leave shall still apply as defined in the paragraphs within this Section.
F. The employee will be required to provide medical documentation for all absences longer than five (5) consecutive business days. Sick Leave Hours shall be of equal value regardless of job classification, pay range or position of the donating employee.
Sick Leave Hours. Any regular, probationary or term-limited temporary 18 employee whose sick leave accrual balance exceeds one hundred (100) hours may donate to any 19 other regular, probationary or term-limited employee a portion of his or her accrued sick leave upon 20 written notice to the donating and receiving employees’ department director(s). Sick leave hour 21 donations are strictly voluntary. No employee may donate more than twenty-five (25) hours of 22 his/her accrued sick leave in a calendar year.
23 1. Donated hours shall be converted to a dollar value based upon the donor’s 24 straight time hourly rate.
25 2. Employees are prohibited from offering or receiving monetary or any other 26 compensation in exchange for donating sick leave hours.
27 3. Donated sick leave hours must be used within ninety (90) calendar days. 28 Donated hours not used within ninety days or due to the death of the receiving employee shall revert 1 to the donor.
