Sick Leave Hours. An employee may donate a portion of his or her accrued sick leave to 4 another leave eligible employee provided the donating employee’s sick leave balance will be 100 5 hours or more following the donation. The donation will occur following written approval from both 6 the donating and receiving employee’s directors. An employee may not donate more than 25 hours 7 of accrued sick leave in a calendar year.

Donated hours shall be converted to a dollar value based upon the donor’s 24 straight time hourly rate. 25 2. Employees are prohibited from offering or receiving monetary or any other 26 compensation in exchange for donating sick leave hours. 27 3. Donated sick leave hours must be used within ninety (90) calendar days. 28 Donated hours not used within ninety days or due to the death of the receiving employee shall revert 1 to the donor.
Sick Leave Hours shall be of equal value regardless of job classification, pay range or position of the donating employee.

No donation shall be permitted unless the donating employee’s sick leave 5 accrual balance immediately subsequent to the donation is one hundred (100) hours or more. No 6 employee may donate more than twenty-five (25) hours of his or her accrued sick leave in a calendar 7 year. 8 3. Donated sick leave hours must be used within ninety (90) calendar days. 9 Donated hours not used within ninety (90) days or due to the death of the receiving employee shall 10 revert to the donor. Donated sick leave hours shall be excluded from the sick leave payoff provisions 11 contained in this Agreement, and sick leave restoration provisions contained in this Agreement.
