Insufficient Available Funds to Pay Items. Order In Which Checks and Other Items Are Paid. In general, we pay checks and other transactions in the order in which they are presented to us for payment, regardless of when you issued or authorized them. Insufficient balances on your account may result from 1) checks, 2) automated clearing house (ACH) debits such as online bill payment transactions, 3) payments authorized by an owner or other withdrawal requests, 4) items deposited by the an owner and returned unpaid by the paying institution, and 5) imposition of service charges.
