Overdraft Protection Service. With this service, you authorize us to make transfers of available funds automatically from your eligible Savings or other Share Account to cover overdrafts in your checking account. Transfers from your Savings Account are made in the exact amount of the overdraft. Each transfer counts as one of the six (6) limited transactions you are allowed each month from your Savings Account. You must request to enroll in this service.

Overdraft Protection Service. Courtesy Pay Courtesy Pay is a service available on qualified checking accounts to supplement other overdraft protection options. Courtesy Pay means that we may in our discretion honor and pay your checks or items drawn against insufficient funds so that your checks or transactions are not returned unpaid. For overdrafts resulting from ATM and debit card purchase transactions you must opt-in to the Courtesy Pay service for these accounts before we can offer the service or charge a fee for payment of any overdrafts. For all other transactions, Courtesy Pay is made available only to members meeting specific qualifying criteria. In order to be eligible to receive Courtesy Pay you must be a member in good standing. Other qualifying criteria may apply. Not all members may qualify. Courtesy Pay may apply to checks you have drawn against insufficient funds in your checking account(s) with us, as well as other transfer or withdrawal request(s) you have authorized (such as, but not limited to, preauthorized transfers) for which funds are insufficient. We may, at our sole discretion, but are not obligated to, make payment on such overdrawn checks, transfers, and/or withdrawal requests in any order at our option or return the overdrawn checks, transfers, and/or withdrawal requests unpaid. Regardless, we are not liable for any action we take regarding payment or nonpayment of an overdrawn check, transfer, or withdrawal request. If we choose to pay an overdrawn check, transfer, or withdrawal request, you will be subject to a fee(s) in the amount as set forth in the accompanying Rate and Fee Schedule for each transaction. In that event, you understand and agree that you are obligated to reimburse us and you are required to deposit with us sufficient good funds to cover the overdrawn check, transfer, or withdrawal request paid by us under Courtesy Pay and pay the applicable fee(s). You agree that we have the right to transfer available funds from your other accounts you may have with us to cover the overdrawn checks, transfer, or withdrawal request and pay the applicable fee(s). If we choose not to pay the overdrawn check, transfer, or withdrawal request, you are subject to the applicable fee(s) for each such item in the amount set forth in our Rate and Fee Schedule. Overdraft Protection Service. If you have agreed to use our Overdraft Protection Plan, Ready Reserve, any overdrafts on a checking account covered by the plan will be treated as an Advance against your Account in $50.00 increments and will be subject to the terms and conditions covering Advances under this Agreement.
Overdraft Protection Service. If you do not qualify for either the Purchase Cushion or the Overdraft Protection Service (each defined in more detail below), and any transaction(s) exceeds the balance of the funds available in your Card Account, you shall remain fully liable to us for the amount of the transaction(s) and any applicable transaction fee(s). You agree to pay us promptly for the negative balance. If you have not added sufficient funds to your Card Account to cover the negative balance within sixty (60) days of its creation, we have the right to cancel your Card Account. Additionally, we have the right to pursue collection, including the right to collect funds, equal to or less than the negative balance, from any other Card Account(s) you may have with us. In all instances described above, loads to your Card Account may be made via ACH Deposit or any of the other load methods described in this Agreement. If you do not have enough funds available in your Card Account, you can instruct a merchant, internet service or other utility provider (“Merchant(s)”) to charge a part of the purchase to the Card and pay the remaining amount with cash or another card. These are called “split transactions.” Some Merchants do not allow cardholders to conduct split transactions. If you wish to conduct a split transaction and it is permitted by the Merchant, you must tell the Merchant to charge only the exact amount of funds available in your Card Account to the Card. You must then arrange to pay the difference using another payment method. Some Merchants may require payment for the remaining balance in cash. If you fail to inform the Merchant that you would like to complete a split transaction prior to swiping your Card, your Card is likely to be declined. If you use your Card at an automated fuel dispenser (“pay at the pump”), the purchase may be preauthorized for a transaction amount determined by the merchant and can range in amounts of up to $100.00, or more. If your Card is declined, even though you have sufficient funds available, you should pay for your purchase inside with the cashier. If you use your Card at a restaurant, a hotel, for a car rental purchase, or for similar purchases, the purchase may be preauthorized for a transaction amount representing the purchase amount plus up to 20% more to ensure there are sufficient funds available to cover tips or incidental expenses incurred. The fee we may charge for overdraft transfers is set forth on the Fee Schedule. Transfers from a deposit account will be governed by this Agreement. Transfers from a loan account will be governed by the applicable loan agreement.

Overdraft Protection Service. We offer a discretionary overdraft protection service to cover overdrafts on your checking and savings accounts. The Credit Union offers this overdraft protection service to qualified consumer checking or savings account owners. The Credit Union does not offer Overdraft Protection Service to minors, fiduciary, businesses, or organizational accounts. The Credit Union automatically provides Overdraft Protection service to all eligible consumer checking or savings account owners for checks, ACH, and recurring debit card or bill payment transactions. The Credit Union also provides Overdraft Protection service for ATM Withdrawals, one-time debit card purchases, and person-to-person transactions ONLY if you expressly “opt-in” to Overdraft Protection for these transactions. To opt-in you must consent to the Overdraft Protection service by signing an “opt-in” form, available through Digital Banking, by calling our Contact Center, or by visiting one of our branches.
Overdraft Protection Service. Overdraft protection is an optional service you can add to your checking or money market account by linking one eligible account. We will use available funds in your linked account, (the “protector” account), to authorize or pay your transactions if you don’t have enough money in your checking or money market account (the “protected” account). You can enroll in Overdraft Protection by visiting our branch locations or by calling 0-000-000-0000. Eligible protected accounts include a checking or money market account. Savings accounts are not eligible to enroll in the Overdraft Protection Service as a protected account. Eligible protector accounts include a Community First Bank deposit account, or Community First Bank Line of Credit. Your protector account can provide Overdraft Protection for more than one deposit account, but a protected account can have only one protector account. We may cancel your Overdraft Protection service at any time by sending you notice. Your request to add or cancel Overdraft Protection is effective immediately. Any owner of both the protected account AND the protector account may enroll in Overdraft Protection without the consent of other owners through visiting our branch locations or by calling 0-000-000-0000. If you link a jointly owned account, you authorize us to share information about your account with each owner of the other linked account, such as type of protector account and partial protector account number. 0Overdraft Protection from Another Deposit Account allows you to link your checking or money market account (the “protected” account) to another Community First Bank deposit account (the “protector” account), for Overdraft Protection. The protector account can be a second checking account, savings account, or money market account. When you do not have enough available funds in your protected account to cover a debit item, we may automatically transfer funds from the available balance in your protector account to your protected account.
