Overdraft Protection Service. Courtesy Pay Courtesy Pay is a service available on qualified checking accounts to supplement other overdraft protection options.
Overdraft Protection Service. With this service, you authorize us to make transfers of available funds automatically from your eligible Savings or other Share Account to cover overdrafts in your checking account. Transfers from your Savings Account are made in the exact amount of the overdraft. Each transfer counts as one of the six (6) limited transactions you are allowed each month from your Savings Account. You must request to enroll in this service.
6. If you do not have sufficient available credit on your Personal Line of Credit or the funds in your Savings Account are not sufficient to pay the overdraft on your checking account, then the item causing the overdraft will be returned or the transaction denied. If you decline to utilize any of the optional overdraft protection plans, and there are insufficient available funds in your checking account to pay an item, your items will not be paid, they will be returned, and an NSF Fee may be charged. Transfers will appear on your periodic statements for each applicable account.

If you have agreed to use our Overdraft Protection Plan, Ready Reserve, any overdrafts on a checking account covered by the plan will be treated as an Advance against your Account in $50.00 increments and will be subject to the terms and conditions covering Advances under this Agreement.

Overdraft Protection Service. If you do not qualify for either the Purchase Cushion or the Overdraft Protection Service (each defined in more detail below), and any transaction(s) exceeds the balance of the funds available in your Card Account, you shall remain fully liable to us for the amount of the transaction(s) and any applicable transaction fee(s). You agree to pay us promptly for the negative balance. If you have not added sufficient funds to your Card Account to cover the negative balance within sixty (60) days of its creation, other load methods described in this Agreement. If you do not have enough funds available in your Card Account, you can instruct a merchant (e.g. an internet service or utility provider), merchantto charge a part of the purchase to the Card and pay the remaining amount with cash or another card. These are called “split transactions.” Some merchants do not allow cardholders to conduct split transactions. If you wish to conduct a split transaction and it is permitted by the merchant, you must tell the merchant to charge only the exact amount of funds available in your Card Account to the Card. You must then arrange to pay the difference using another payment method. Some merchants may require payment for the remaining balance in cash. If you fail to inform the merchant that you would like to complete a split transaction prior to swiping your Card, your Card is likely to be declined. If you use your Card at an automated fuel dispenser (“pay at the pump”), the purchase may be preauthorized for a transaction amount determined by the merchant and can range in amounts of up to $100.00, or more. If your Card is declined, even though you have sufficient funds available, you should pay for your purchase inside with the cashier. If you use your Card at a restaurant, a hotel, for a car rental purchase, or for similar purchases, the purchase may be preauthorized for a transaction amount representing the purchase amount plus up to 20% more to ensure there are sufficient funds available to cover tips or incidental expenses incurred. Any preauthorized amount will result in the placement of a “hold” on your available funds until the merchant tells us the final payment amount of your purchase. Once we know the final payment amount, the preauthorized amount on hold will be removed and replaced by the actual amount of your purchase. If we have approved an overdraft protection service for you, we will honor drafts or debit items drawn on insufficient funds in any checking account by transferring the necessary funds from a deposit or loan account of yours, if applicable, to your checking account under this Agreement. The fee we may charge for overdraft transfers is set forth on the Fee Schedule. Transfers from a deposit account will be governed by this Agreement. Transfers from a loan account will be governed by the applicable loan agreement.

We will use available funds in your linked account, (the “protector” account), to authorize or pay your transactions if you don’t have enough money in your checking or money market account (the “protected” account). When you do not have enough available funds in your protected account to cover a debit item, we may automatically transfer funds from the available balance in your protector account to your protected account. If the balance in the protector account is not sufficient to cover the entire overdraft, the Bank may make transfers to pay items up to the available balance in the protector account. However, the Bank reserves the right to not initiate transfers to cover such overdraft and to return the debit item(s) for non-sufficient funds. An overdraft fee, as disclosed in the Fee Schedule, for each debit item will be charged. Funds you deposit into your protected account may not be available immediately for Overdraft Protection transfers. Overdraft Protection will be cancelled if your protected account or the protecting account is closed, or if the linked account has a zero balance.
