Interruption of Vacation. A. An employee shall be allowed to interrupt vacation leave in order to begin another type of paid leave without a return to active service, provided the employee telephones or makes other contact and obtains prior approval from the Superintendent or Superintendent and provides a doctor's verification, if requested to do so, in case of illness.
