Common use of Irregular or Occasional Overtime Clause in Contracts

Irregular or Occasional Overtime. Overtime work that was not scheduled in advance of the administrative workweek and made a part of an employee's regularly scheduled workweek is considered irregular or occasional overtime. Irregular or occasional overtime work is paid in the same manner as regular overtime work, except that, at the employee's option, the employee may receive compensatory time off in lieu of overtime premium pay in accordance with Section 10 of this Article.
