Flexible Schedules. With mutual consent between the Graduate Employee and supervisor, the Graduate Employee may “flex” their schedule by working additional hours or shifts in place of using sick leave accruals.
Flexible Schedules. Upon mutual agreement between the employee and their supervisor, an employee may work a flexible schedule with starting and ending times set by agreement between the employee and their supervisor.
Flexible Schedules. Scheduling of shift work shall remain flexible in order to meet Project schedules and existing Project conditions including the minimization of interference with traffic. It is not necessary to work a day shift in order to schedule a second shift. Shifts must be worked a minimum of five consecutive work days, must have prior approval of the Construction Project Manager and must be scheduled with not less than five work days notice to the Local Union.
Flexible Schedules. The Employer, with the approval of the Association, may adopt a flexible work schedule, by department, during the summer months when such a flexible schedule is feasible. [Added 8-21-03]
Flexible Schedules. Flexible scheduling shall be available to the Administration covering all positions working less than 260 days. The decision on the specific dates shall normally be announced at the beginning of each semester, but no less than ten (10) work days in advance of the effective date.
Flexible Schedules. 1237 The parties agree that an employee(s) written request for flexible schedules will be jointly reviewed to determine the feasibility of implementation. However, the Employer maintains the sole right to discontinue such schedules where efficiency of operations or effective patient care is impeded and/or a negative economic condition evolves. 1238 Section 12 - Changing Clothing 1239 Employees will be given reasonable time to change clothing when required by the Employer.
Flexible Schedules. It is recognized by the Parties and employees that work schedules must be responsive to the mission of the organization, the needs of the patients and the needs of the public. The Employer may approve an employee’s request for a flexible work schedule when such requests are consistent with the mission of the work scheduling group, the needs of the patients and the public.
Flexible Schedules. The Employer and Employee may mutually agree to a flexible work schedule which provides for shifts worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day. Flexible work schedules shall be available to all full-time and part-time employees. Once a flexible work schedule has been established, the Employer shall send the Union written notification of such flexible work schedule. Flexible work schedules shall be posted and offered to staff by seniority per Article 9, Seniority. Work schedules established pursuant to the provisions of this Section shall be subject to the following conditions:
1. An Employee shall have the opportunity to review the alternate work schedule or schedules being considered prior to volunteering for flexible work schedules. The Employee may limit agreement to specific types of flexible work schedules. The Employer shall retain written documentation that an Employee has agreed to a flexible work schedule and the type of flexible work schedule the Employee has agreed to.
2. The Employer or Employee may terminate a flexible schedule with written notice of not less than four (4) weeks. Employees who terminate a flexible schedule may bid for vacant positions. If the Employer terminates a flexible schedule and there are no vacancies, the Employer, Union and Employee shall meet to discuss options provided for under Article IX.
3. Employees working a flexible work schedule shall be paid overtime at the rate of time and one-half for all hours worked beyond their scheduled flex shift per day or in excess of forty (40) hours per week rather than the overtime provisions set forth elsewhere in this Agreement.
4. Flexible Schedule Employees will accrue time off benefits (e.g., sick leave, vacation, etc.) according to the provisions set forth in this Agreement and may use time off benefits in eight (8) hour increments or according to the length of the flex shift.
5. Employees shall be paid double time for all hours worked on designated holidays (Article VI). Employees who work sixty-four (64) hours or more per pay period but less than eighty (80) hours per pay period whose day off falls on a holiday, shall be paid straight time for the number of hours normally scheduled to work on designated holidays not worked.
Flexible Schedules. Nothing in the Agreement shall prevent the Employer and an employee, or group of employees, from mutually agreeing to flexible work schedules. A flexible schedule is not implemented on an ongoing basis and shall be within the same basic workweek. Employees shall have the right to request a flexible schedule and to receive a timely response from the Employer.
Flexible Schedules. The Employer reserves the right to allow an employee or employees to work a flexible-hours schedule pursuant to AR#4324.
