Job Search Entitlement. 30.4.1 An Employee given notice of termination in circumstances of redundancy will be allowed up to one (1) days’ time off without loss of pay during each week of notice for the purpose of seeking other employment. Such a request must be given to the Company, in writing, a minimum of 48 hours prior to the date the Employee is seeking leave. 30.4.2 The Company has the right to refuse such leave if there is a valid operational reason to do so. For any such refusal the Company will outline to the Employee the operational reasons and a more practicable and suitable substitution day. The Company will not unreasonably refuse the Employee's job search request. 30.4.3 If the Employee has been allowed paid leave for more than one (1) day during the notice period for the purpose of seeking other employment, the Employee will, at the request of the Company, be required to produce proof of attendance at an interview or they will not receive payment for the time absent. For this purpose, a statutory declaration will be sufficient.
