Joint Meetings Between the Board of Education and the Association. The Board recognizes that the aforementioned administrative staff members are classified as managerial and confidential employees, and the Board and the employees recognize that it is in the best interest of the school system to develop a system of management consultation that establishes and furthers employer-employee communications and relations. Towards this end, the following procedures shall be incorporated into the yearly activities of the Board of Education. The Board of Education, the Superintendent, and the Association will schedule semi-annual meetings for the purpose of discussion. The agenda may include topics of a general nature pertaining to the education program, progress reports concerning ongoing or new programs and issues of a general nature. Dates for such meetings and agenda development will be determined by the Superintendent of Schools in consultation with the President of the Association.

  • Labour Management Meetings The committee meeting shall normally be held every second month however, either party may call a meeting of the Joint Labour Management Committee. The meeting shall be held at a time and place fixed by mutual agreement but no later than fourteen (14) calendar days after the initial request, unless mutually agreed.

  • Level Three - Board of Education If the aggrieved person is not satisfied with the disposition of his grievance at Level Two, or if no decision has been rendered within ten (10) school days after the presentation of the grievance to the Superintendent, he may file the grievance in writing with the Association within five (5) school days after the decision of Level Two or ten (10) school days after the grievance was presented, whichever is sooner. Within five (5) school days after receiving the written grievance, the Association shall refer it to the Board of Education through the Business Administrator/Board Secretary.

  • Board of Education a) If the unit member and the Association are not satisfied with the decision at Stage 2, the Grievance Committee will file an appeal in writing with the Board of Education within fifteen (15) school days after receiving the decision at Stage 2. The official grievance record maintained by the Superintendent of Schools shall be available for the use of the Board of Education.

  • Union/Management Meetings ‌ The Union Committee and the Senior Union Official of the Union, or her/his representative, shall, as occasion warrants, meet with the Committee on Labour Relations for the purpose of discussing and negotiating a speedy settlement of any grievance or dispute arising between the Employer and the employee concerned, including possible re-negotiations relative to this Agreement and the Schedules which are a part hereof. However, except for renegotiations of Agreements, these matters shall be introduced to such meetings only after the established grievance procedure has been followed. Grievances of a general nature may be initiated by a member of the Union Committee in step two of the grievance procedure outlined in Article 9.04.

  • RIGHTS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION The Board of Education, on its own behalf and on behalf of the electors of the School district, hereby retains and reserves unto itself all powers, rights, authority, duties, and responsibilities conferred upon and vested in it by the laws and the constitution of the State of Michigan, and of the United States, including, but without limiting, the generality of the foregoing, the right:

  • Labour Management Committee (a) Where the parties mutually agree that there are matters of mutual concern and interest that would be beneficial if discussed at a Labour-Management Committee Meeting during the term of this Agreement, the following shall apply.

  • MILWAUKEE BOARD OF SCHOOL DIRECTORS AUTHORITY It is hereby agreed and declared that this Contract is made expressly subject to the powers granted to said Milwaukee Board of School Directors, by the applicable provisions of Chapter 119 and Sec.

  • JOINT LABOUR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE 18.01 A Joint Labour Management Committee shall be established to attend to those matters which are of mutual interest. To ensure its effectiveness the Committee shall be separate and apart from the grievance procedure.
