Common use of Jury Duty/Subpoenaed Witness Leave Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty/Subpoenaed Witness Leave. A classified employee shall be granted such time as is necessary for jury duty/subpoenaed witness. The employee shall be paid the employee's regular compensation and the employee shall retain any remuneration received for serving as a juror. The employee must submit written documentation to the Treasurer’s office for all of the dates the employee served on jury duty. Such leave will not be charged against personal leave. Notice of absence must be called in prior to the day of service as a juror/ subpoenaed witness.
