Common use of Jury Duty/Witness Leave Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty/Witness Leave. When an employee is required to serve on a Jury or as a Witness, he shall be relieved of his duties for such time as it may require, and he shall be paid the difference between his fee as a Juror or Witness, and his earnings for the time lost. It is the employee’s responsibility to come into work at any time during the week that he is not actually required for Jury Duty or to be present in Court.
