Common use of Jury Duty/Witness Leave Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty/Witness Leave. 10.7.1 Unit members shall be provided leave with full pay for regularly called jury duty. 10.7.2 The unit member, while serving on jury duty, shall receive pay in the amount of the difference between the unit member's regular earnings and any amount received for jury service, exclusive of reimbursement by the court for jury duty expenses. 10.7.3 A unit member who voluntarily defers his/her jury duty service from working to non-working days, shall receive the daily substitute teaching pay for the actual time spent on jury service during a recess (non-working) period. It is understood that summer school is considered a working period for those assigned.
