L26. 03.04 For a Member/Employee who has taken pregnancy leave, Short-term Parental Leave must begin when the pregnancy leave ends unless the child has not yet come into the custody, care and control of the Member/Employee for the first time.
L26. 03.06 In the event that the child comes into custody, care and control of the Member/Employee for the first time sooner than expected, the Short-term Parental Leave begins the day the Member/Employee stops working. The Member/Employee must give the Board written notice of the wish to take Short-term Parental Leave within two (2) weeks of stopping work.
L26. 6.1 Subject to certification by a duly qualified medical practitioner, in any case where, because of exposure to a communicable disease in the course of his/her duties a Teacher is quarantined or otherwise prevented by the medical officer of health from attending to his/her duties, leave will be granted without loss of pay. Such leave is not deducted from accumulated sick leave.
L26. 8.5 The employee may not remain on a leave under this section after the earlier of the following dates:
L26. 8.6 If two or more employees take leaves under this section in respect of a particular individual, the total of the leaves taken by all the employees shall not exceed eight weeks during the period referred to in L26.8.1 above that applies to the first certificate issued for the purpose of this section.
L26. 09 a) The member shall return to their original position/location held by the member prior to the commencement of the leave, if it still exists, or to a comparable position if it does not, subject to Article X00, Xxxxxx and Recall.
L26. 02.02 A pregnant Member/Employee who started employment with the Board at least thirteen (13) weeks before the expected birth date is entitled to Pregnancy Leave.
L26. 01The parties agree to refer to the Consultation Committee established under this Collective Agreement the issue of Occasional Teachers being assigned yard duty prior to the commencement of class on the morning of an assignment, or prior to the commencement of the afternoon class on the first day if it is a half-day afternoon assignment.
L26. 41 (a) Within one (1) day of the closing date for such posted vacancy, the Principal or Supervisor shall contact the three (3) most senior qualified applicants and the three (3) most senior qualified applicants who have surplus status to their current school location as referenced in Article L24 and offer each of them an interview.
L26. 1.0 For purposes of school security and student safety, the Board will provide all Occasional Teachers with a personal identification tag that must be worn at all times while assigned to a school. The occasional teacher will incur the cost of any replacement tags.
