LABOUR MARKET ISSUES. The parties agree the key issues to be addressed are: • the unemployment rate in the Southern Midlands area is higher than the average for the State; • Economic Development sees potential in working closely with the Southern Midlands Council on employment related strategies. In particular, through the Partnerships to Jobs program, there is potential to improve collaboration between the Southern Midlands Council, business and community organisations to identify sustainable employment opportunities for long-term unemployed and disadvantaged job seekers; and • Economic Development has a number of programs to help business improve its capacity to attract and retain skilled labour, and address the barriers to higher rates of workforce participation. Economic Development would welcome the opportunity to work with industry and the Southern Midlands Council to assist businesses to respond appropriately to skills shortages, including skilled seasonal labour shortages, and increase workforce participation.

LABOUR MARKET ISSUES. 1. Acknowledging the significant transformations in the world of work driven by technological innovations, demographic shifts, environmental and climate change, and globalisation, the Parties shall direct their efforts on further developing a human- centered approach to the future of work, as reflected in the ILO Centenary Declaration for the Future of Work of 2019, while recognizing the strong, complex and crucial links between social, trade, financial, economic and environmental policies. 2. The Parties may, as appropriate, exchange information, experiences and good practice on related issues of mutual interest. 1. The Parties acknowledge the importance of incorporating gender equality and non-discrimination perspectives in the promotion of inclusive economic development in order to achieve sustainable economic growth, with income opportunities and prospects for all. 2. The Parties recognise that women’s participation in international trade can contribute to advancing their economic empowerment and economic independence. Furthermore, they acknowledge that women’s access to and ownership of economic resources contribute to sustainable and inclusive economic growth, prosperity and competitiveness. 3. The Parties commit to: (a) promote policies that aim to ensure an inclusive labour market, equal rights and opportunities for all, and address systemic barriers and discrimination of any kind; and (b) work towards the elimination of gender wage gaps in their respective economies.

  • CFR PART 200 Procurement of Recovered Materials A non-Federal entity that is a state agency or agency of a political subdivision of a state and its contractors must comply with section 6002 of the Solid Waste Disposal Act, as amended by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. The requirements of Section 6002 include procuring only items designated in guidelines of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at 40 CFR part 247 that contain the highest percentage of recovered materials practicable, consistent with maintaining a satisfactory level of competition, where the purchase price of the item exceeds $10,000 or the value of the quantity acquired during the preceding fiscal year exceeded $10,000; procuring solid waste management services in a manner that maximizes energy and resource recovery; and establishing an affirmative procurement program for procurement of recovered materials identified in the EPA guidelines.   • Market Abuse 13.1 The Client acknowledges that he will not enter into any transaction which falls within the definition of market abuses of Seychelles Securities Xxx 0000 as amended. This rule applies to all forms of market abuse such as xxxxxxx xxxxxxx (an abusive exploitation of privileged confidential information), the misuse of information and directors trading in shares of their own companies; 13.2 If the Company suspects or has reasonable grounds to believe that the Client has been engaged into an abusive behavior as indicated above the Company reserves the rights to void and/or cancel part or all Client’s abusive trading transactions, close all and any of the Client’s trading accounts and terminate this Agreement under s.21.

  • REGULATORY EVENT If a Regulatory Event occurs, the Parties shall use their best efforts to reform this ESA to give effect to the original intent of the Parties. If a Regulatory Event affects Competitive Supplier and Competitive Supplier incurs excess costs as a result thereof, such amount shall be allocated to and collected from Participating Consumers on a per kWh basis through applicable monthly invoice(s).

  • Statistical or Market-Related Data Any statistical, industry-related and market-related data included or incorporated by reference in the Time of Sale Disclosure Package, are based on or derived from sources that the Company reasonably and in good faith believes to be reliable and accurate, and such data agree with the sources from which they are derived.

  • Job Evaluation The work of the provincial job evaluation steering committee (the JE Committee) will continue during the term of this Framework Agreement. The objectives of the JE Committee are as follows: • Review the results of the phase one and phase two pilots and outcomes of the committee work. Address any anomalies identified with the JE tool, process, or benchmarks. • Rate the provincial benchmarks and create a job hierarchy for the provincial benchmarks. • Gather data from all school districts and match existing job descriptions to the provincial benchmarks. • Identify the job hierarchy for local job descriptions for all school districts. • Compare the local job hierarchy to the benchmark-matched hierarchy. • Develop a methodology to convert points to pay bands - The confirmed method must be supported by current compensation best practices. • Identify training requirements to support implementation of the JE plan and develop training resources as required. Once the objectives outlined above are completed, the JE Committee will mutually determine whether a local, regional or provincial approach to the steps outlined above is appropriate. It is recognized that the work of the committee is technical, complicated, lengthy and onerous. To accomplish the objectives, the parties agree that existing JE funds can be accessed by the JE committee to engage consultant(s) to complete this work. It is further recognized that this process does not impact the established management right of employers to determine local job requirements and job descriptions nor does this process alter any existing collective agreement rights or established practices. When the JE plan is ready to be implemented, and if an amendment to an existing collective agreement is required, the JE Committee will work with the local School District and Local Union to make recommendations for implementation. Any recommendations will also be provided to the Provincial Labour Management Committee (PLMC). As mutually agreed by the provincial parties and the JE Committee, the disbursement of available JE funds shall be retroactive to January 2, 2020. The committee will utilize available funds to provide 50% of the wage differential for the position falling the furthest below the wage rate established by the provincial JE process and will continue this process until all JE fund monies at the time have been disbursed. The committee will follow compensation best practices to avoid problems such as inversion. The committee will report out to the provincial parties regularly during the term of the Framework Agreement. Should any concerns arise during the work of the committee they will be referred to the PLMC. Create a maintenance program to support ongoing implementation of the JE plan at a local, regional or provincial level. The maintenance program will include a process for addressing the wage rates of incumbents in positions which are impacted by implementation of the JE plan. The provincial parties confirm that $4,419,859 of ongoing annual funds will be used to implement the Job Evaluation Plan. Effective July 1, 2022, there will be a one-time pause of the annual $4,419,859 JE funding. This amount has been allocated to the local table bargaining money. The annual funding will recommence July 1, 2023.

  • Denial of Grievance Failure by the School Board or its representative to issue a decision within the time periods provided herein shall constitute a denial of the grievance and the employee may appeal it to the next level.
